Youth@ASHS
x = independently organized TED event

Theme: Retrospect: Life in Review

This event occurred on
February 24, 2020
Quezon City, National Capital Region
Philippines

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

With the purpose of creating an event by the youth for the youth, TEDxYouth@ASHS aims to embody the Ignatian maxim of "ite, inflammate omnia", which translates to “go, set the world on fire”, by sparking a light within others one idea at a time. This year's event revolves around the concept of retrospection. By focusing on particular ideas relevant to the Filipino youth today, it aims to highlight the importance of remaining present by looking back to the past in order to change the future.
