Theme: Dare to Care

Our world is currently grappling with numerous calamities and challenges. While the global community is on the brink of collapsing, if we, as the youth, manage to stand together in solidarity, any obstacle can be overtaken. It requires a considerable amount of effort to take action, but if we can ‘dare to care’, anything is possible.
This concept is what we hope to emulate in the TEDxYouth@Hyderabad 2020 event. With inspiring speakers who are experts in their domains, and performers that will enchant you with their art, this year’s event will be unique. Due to the coronavirus, the event will be virtual. However, this will in no way deprive the essence of TEDxYouth events we know and love.

Akassh K Aggarwal

Accessory Designer & LGBTQIA+ Activist

Akassh K Aggarwal is an LGBTQIA+ activist, who through the power of his heart-rending “LifeStories” has helped the society identify and confront its biases towards the community. He has broken forced norms and expressed himself unequivocally. He is an openly gay accessory designer and a well known social media influencer who has worked with various celebrities such as Sushmita Sen, Gauhar Khan, Swara Bhaskar, Mandira Bedi, Zeenat Aman, Laxmi Aggarwal and various other on many feminist-inspired Fashion Shows. During many years of his work in Social Empowerment, he has made significant impact through his policy work with NHRC, Police Departments and many other Educational Institutions. He represents the voice of the LGBTQIA+ community through his guest appearances in various TV debates and National public events. Currently, he is running an Initiative called 'PRIDE INDIA'.

Preethi Srinivasan

Co-founder, Soulfree

Preethi Srinivasan was the only child of loving parents, she excelled in sports and became the youngest cricketer to find a place in the playing 11 of the Tamil Nadu Senior Women’s Cricket Team at just 8 years of age, a record that still stands. She was also a state-level swimmer and received several accolades for exceptional academic performance including the “Who’s Who amongst America’s students” in 1996. Her life then changed course when she became paralysed below the neck in a freak accident. After years of struggle, she went through a spiritual transformation and now is the co-founder of Soulfree a charitable organisation that is transforming lives and empowering the disabled to become positively-abled! She is also a psychologist, cricket coach, writer, painter and change-maker. She has won the prestigious Kalpana Chawla award and her work has been applauded by the President of India. Currently, she is writing a book and pursuing a doctorate at the IIT Madras.

Ritesh Bhatia

Cybercrime Investigator, Founder V4WEB Cybersecurity

Ritesh Bhatia is a well known Cybercrime Investigator and Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Consultant with an experience of 20 years in cyberspace. He is popularly known for his Cybercrime Investigations and has been successful in solving many cases for corporates, law enforcement agencies and individuals in India and abroad. Ritesh also played the role of his real-life self as cybercrime investigator in MTV's award-winning show: MTV Troll Police. He is on the board of many companies, serving as a cybersecurity consultant and auditor. He has been instrumental in securing systems and critical business information from cyber attacks. His key areas of interest include Infrastructure and Data Protection, Security Audits, Risk Assessment, Business Continuity, New Age Cybercrimes, Dark Web and Digital Forensics.

Trivikram Kumar Dogga

Founder & CEO - XMACHINES

Trivikram Kumar is the Founder & CEO of XMACHINES, a Robotics company headquartered in Hyderabad, India which creates products for Agriculture and Manufacturing industries. Prior to starting XMACHINES, Trivikram has worked in Design, Manufacturing & Tech industries and is a Mechatronic Engineer by training from the City University of Hong Kong.
