In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Adeleye Fabusoro

Adeleye Fabusoro is a consummate business executive and serial entrepreneur with specific focus on media and creatives. Armed with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theatre Arts B.A (Hons), an M.B.A. with focus on strategic management & marketing as well as a certificate in filmmaking from the prestigious New York Film Academy, he runs Rare Edge Media, a multimedia content production organization where he churns out flagship contents especially in the indigenous Yoruba language. These shows include the flagship and breakfast show; Aajiirebi, the celebrity lifestyle gossip show; S’oro niyen?, the popular award winning family sitcom; AwonAladun De and the first Yoruba contemporary telenovela; Borokini, English content such as Family First. Also, produced advocacy contents for UN women, UNNESCO, CHESTRAD international, Love Trust foundation. He has also produced and supervised the production of over 50 movies. Apart from all these, he has led a new movement in Yoruba language film production and distribution hence creating a definite business model necessary to create the much-needed fresh air in that sector of the film industry. He takes his effort further by creating a learning platform for aspiring and young filmmakers and content producers via a training academy known as Rare Edge Film and Arts Academy (REFAA)

Adeola Ayoola

Adeola Ayoola is a Pharmacist with 5+ years experience across retail, hospital & supply chain management. This includes stint at National Hospital(Abuja), mPharma, Eti Osa Primary Health Centre, Swiftmed Online Pharmacy & various retail pharmaceutical outlets. Adeola is the CO-founder & CEO of Famasi, leveraging technology to build better pharmaceutical care for preventive health & people with pre-existing health conditions. She is interested in solutions that improve the quality of life of everyday person.

Anita Ebinehita Eboigbe

Anita Ebinehita Eboigbe is a journalist and data analyst with nearly a decade of media and communications experience in Nigeria. She is enthusiastic about the growth of arts and entertainment in Africa and pioneered the use of data in reporting trends in the industries. She has expertise in human interest reporting, data reporting, interactive content development and media business management. Anita has written for several national and international publications with a focus on communication for development. She holds an honours degree in Mass Communication, a Masters in Business Administration and several certifications in data analysis and data journalism. Hauwa Shaffii Nuhu

Hauwa Shaffii Nuhu is a poet and essayist from Nigeria, whose work has appeared on Popula, Ake Review, Lolwe, Arts and Africa, After The Pause journal, Bitter Oleander, 20.35 Africa, Memento, and elsewhere. She is a 2018 fellow of Ebedi Writers Residency. She has an LLB from Bayero University, Kano, and has just rounded up her BL from the Nigerian Law School. A two-time shortlistee of the Nigerian Students Poetry Prize, she has been a guest at literary festivals and panels such as the Ake Festival and the Kaduna Book and Arts Festival. Passionate about northern and women representation and amplification, in 2018 she was an associate producer of season 4 of the popular Hausa TV show “Haske Matan Arewa”; a program that aired on Arewa24 on Wednesdays, interviewing and showcasing exceptional northern Nigerian women and their work to the word. She is currently a staff writer at Folio Nigeria, and a reporter at HumAngle

Idris Munir

Idris is a technology enthusiast who strives to learn and understand key functionalities in technological innovations and inventions in order to simplify their applicability for everyday and everyone's use. He is an excellent trainer, software developer, a R&D enthusiast and programmer with expertise in Artificial Intelligence and anticipatory user design(AUD). Idris currently is a lecturer at the department of Biomedical Engineering, University of Ilorin and a Data Scientist with Classy Advertising, Portugal. His interest is promoting digital transformation and building research-based data-driven systems for better decision making.

Justus Aboyeji

Justus Aboyeji is presently a senior lecturer at the Department of History and International Studies, University of Ilorin, Nigeria. His area of specialisations straddle Econo-diplomatic-cum-military histories, inter-group Relations; Igbomina studies. An 100% and proud alumnus of the University of Ilorin, Justus graduated with a B. A(Hons.) Second class(upper division) in History (2001), M.A. History(2006) and PhD History(2015), all at the University of Ilorin. His Doctoral Thesis deals with a seminal aspect of the Igbomina people. The relevance of this topic is not in doubt, given the socio-economic and political changes that have come to bear on the Igbomina people. His over two decades' working experiences, have been in the area of teaching and research; having taught at the Sapati International School, Ilorin, Nigeria, Kwara State College of Education, Oro, Kwara State, Nigeria (where he taught and graduated students with the Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE) and graduate Degree Certificates), before he joined the Department of History and International Studies, University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria in 2014. He has over twenty scholarly publications that have appeared in notable chapters in books and articles in indexed journals. He has spoken at different public lectures, graduation ceremonies, workshops and conferences, nationally and Internationally at both representative and full capacities

Kunle Adebajo

'Kunle Adebajo is Investigations Editor and Head of Internal Factcheck at HumAngle, which focuses on reporting conflict situations and humanitarian crises. He formerly worked as an investigative reporter at the International Centre for Investigative Reporting (ICIR). He is a 2019 fellow of Africa Check, 2020 fellow of Dubawa, and an alumnus of the British Council's Future News Worldwide programme. He is passionate about human rights and educational reform as well as how human-centred storytelling can help bring attention to these issues. 'Kunle has won a number of journalism awards including the 2018 Alfred Opubo Prize for Opinion, 2018 Budeshi Datathon Writers' Challenge, 2019 West Africa Medica Excellence Award for Best Telecommunications Report, and 2020 Diamond Media Award for Education Reporting. He was also a 2020 finalist for the Isu Elihle Awards on child-centred reporting and a top entrant for the 2020 PwC Media Excellence Awards. When he is not writing or editing journalism materials, you will find him immersed in the world of political humour or creative non-fiction

Yusuf Abdulraman

Yusuf Abdulraman is a freelance Photographer, Filmmaker, domestic tourism developer/content creator, volunteer and a Licensed Health information manager. He founded Xultan visuals; a fast-rising and reputable media brand in Nigeria. He's also the founder of Visit Kwara; a platform where he showcases Kwara State to the world. Yusuf is a co-founder of Time-travellers - a domestic tour company. Yusuf studied Health Information Management. His photography journey started after he completed an entrepreneurship class in 2016. He was in search of a different path and he stumbled on photography. Yusuf did not own any professional photography gears then, but he started taking pictures with his phone. He discovered he enjoyed it and decided to fully embrace photography. During his service year in 2019,he headed the photography department in his NYSC camp. Later that year, Yusuf's handwork and expertise were rewarded. He was awarded as the best documentary photographer by the Kwara State Association of Photographers. His brand - Xultan visuals was also nominated the best creative media brand in 2020. Yusuf's work brings to life and to the world's attention, the very best of the sights and sound of Kwara and other parts of Nigeria.
