In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Ahsen Kocaman

Ahsen is a senior at Boston College studying Political Science and English with a Philosophy minor. Originally from Woburn, Massachusetts, she plans on becoming an immigration attorney in an effort to give a voice to the voiceless.

Dennis Wieboldt

Dennis Wieboldt is a junior at Boston College studying History and Theology. A New Jersey native, he has been named a Junior Fellow at the Clough Center for the Study of Constitutional Democracy and an Undergraduate Fellow at BC's John Marshall Project. Upon graduation from his B.A. program, Dennis will matriculate into the M.A. program in History at BC.

Kudzai Kapurura

Kudzai is a Sophomore at Boston College studying Economics, with a minor in African and African Diaspora Studies. Kudzai chose these studies because she has a huge heart for social justice, problem-solving, and equity. In her free time, Kudzai’s passions are reflected in various public speaking roles from speeches to Slam or Written Word poetry. Recently, she was named National Poetry Champion as she took first place in the competition, “America’s Best College Poet.” While Kudzai and her family live in Oregon, she also takes much pride in her Zimbabwean identity.

Rahim Jessani

Rahim Jessani is a sophomore from Orlando, Fl. He is a political science major with a minor in gender studies and journalism and he spends most of my time working on his media outlet called 'The Unfortunate Truth.”
