In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Morgan Clark

Teacher
"Morgan Clark is a science teacher and ecologist. She graduated from Pepperdine University with a BA in Biology and a minor in Hispanic Studies, as well as her teaching credential in life science. Since that time, her scientific and educational research interests have taken her to fascinating places around the world, teaching her the importance of seeking understanding through a scientific lens, whether it be in a location near or far. The first time Morgan peered through a microscope in middle school she knew she wanted to become a science educator. Morgan is currently teaching biology, medical biology, and zoology at Colton High School where she is passionate about sparking curiosity and wonder in her students through a scientific perspective."

Stephanie Houston

Assistant Superintendent- Innovation and Engagement, San Bernardino County
Dr. Stephanie Houston has been a professional K12 educator for 25 years, currently serving as Assistant Superintendent- Innovation and Engagement for the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools. In this role, she is responsible for collaboration efforts with educators, government, community & faith-based organizations, law enforcement, health, business & industry, and elected officials to provide personal and academic success opportunities for all students in San Bernardino County- from Cradle to Career. Dr. Houston’s experience includes: Superintendent Colton Redlands Yucaipa ROP (2007-2019); Vice Chair and Trustee for the San Bernardino Community College District (2018-current); Commissioner for the Council on Occupational Education national postsecondary accreditation agency (2013-2019

Ted Alejandre

San Bernardino County Superintenddent of Schools
San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools' Ted Alejandre began his first four-year term as the county's 34th superintendent on Jan. 5, 2015. With more than 30 years of experience in public education, Mr. Alejandre has been a teacher, vice principal, principal and director of fiscal services at the district level. As county superintendent, Mr. Alejandre works collaboratively with educators, families, other agencies and stakeholders to provide advocacy, leadership and services for and on behalf of the 403,000 K-12 students attending public schools in San Bernardino County. Mr. Alejandre is a lieutenant colonel in the Air Force Reserves and served 18 years with the 701ST Combat Operations Squadron. He received his associate degree in Administrative Management from the Community College of the Air Force, his bachelor’s degree in Public Administration and master’s in Educational Administration from Cal State University, San Bernardino.
