In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Jessica Corbin

Jessica Corbin is an active singer, pianist, conductor, vocal coach, and music director in and around New York City, who also occasionally composes and arranges music for herself and others to sing. She is a Lecturer at City University of New York Kingsborough Community College in Music and Theatre, where she's also the Music Director for all music theatre productions and activities. In the recent past, she has also taught private voice lessons for music theatre at Marymount Manhattan College and Western Connecticut State University. She is the current Chair of Music Theatre for Region 1 of the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival, which celebrates the work of college students in all aspects of theatre. She also maintains a private voice studio in New York City, working with clients in music theatre and pop/rock.
