Our theme aspires not just to embolden our community of youth with extraordinary ideas but to expose them to the challenges and harsh realities of our society. This theme not only makes room for encouragement and empowerment but collectively includes the hardship required to unmask an idea. Our event will feature 6 speakers, as well as some interactive activities during break times.

Anada Raj Poovindran

Teacher and Former Neuroscientist
A neuroscientist turned teacher; Dr Anada began teaching in 2016 as an IBDP Chemistry teacher. From the path of doing biomarker research on brain trauma and Alzheimers, he took a detour to become a teacher. This decision was not only a turning point in his career, but it led him on an interesting journey - to educate others as well as evolve as a better learner himself. His experiences are filled with memorable interaction with students while other stories reflect the hardships that he encountered as a novice teacher. Now, his passionate objectives are to aid students to grow as versatile individuals and to develop the sight to depict the world at an atomic level.

Gary Liew

Founder of Street Feeders of KL
Hailing from the film industry has been a commercial Film Producer/Director for over a decade. This multi-award winning social activist has been advocating the need to reach out to those most in need in all his humanitarian efforts and mission trips all over the world. His youthfulness has been a role model for Volunteerism especially amongst the younger generation. Constantly striving to push humanity forward by challenging society to Be Their Own Heroes to the people around them.

Kevin Wong

Rising Musician
As talented as they come, local independent artist Kevin Wong’s passion in songwriting and performing is unquestionable. The frontman from the band “ETSU”, comes of as soft spoken and shy, but his art and music speaks loudly to audiences while leaving himself vulnerable to his art and passion. The 22 year old who currently studies music at UCSI college, performs at local venues around Malaysia learning more about his field in any way possible.

Lek Jan Chong

CEO of RaceRoom Malaysia
Jason is a B.Sc. (Honors) in computing and applies his passion and abilities as the leading racing simulation operation, event, and marketing expert of the region. Soon to be a billion dollar business, the exponential growth of e-sports throughout the globe. In Jason Chong’s perspective, he saw this as an opportunity. Jason Chong used his passion and ability in gaming and racing to combine the two for his global simulation racing company RaceRoom. Jason and his company uses racing simulations and gaming to train gamers to apply their skills to real life gaming. With championship winners such as Ady Rahimy, His company boasts a completely innovative and effective way to utilize e-sports.

Nicol Ann David

Malaysian Professional Squash Player
Considered by some to be the greatest women’s squash player of all time, Nicol Ann David has represented Malaysia for over a decade in the international squash scene. Having broken multiple world records and dominating for years in her respective sport, Nicol has served as an inspiration and source of empowerment for women in Malaysia. Her talents and efforts are currently directed at giving back to the youth in Malaysia, through the Nicol Ann David foundation.

Rathimalar Govindarajoo

Dancer | Choreographer | Dance Educator Specialist (DES)
Rathimalar Govindarajoo (Rathi) specialises in Indian Classical Odissi, Bharata Natyam and Modern Contemporary dance. She spent her formative years with Sutra Dance Theatre for over two decades and continues to teach and perform with Sutra Foundation. She worked full-time as one of the pioneer dancers of Shobana Jeyasingh Dance Company (SJDC) London, UK for five years.
