For the first time TEDxSanaaWomen is organized under the theme of TEDWomen 2019 "bold+brilliant" on 12.12.2019.
A group of dedicated and independent volunteers women and men aim to put to the forefront the creme of Yemeni women ideas and talents spanning the full spectrum of art, science, design, entertainment, technology, heritage and education. 7 Yemeni women speakers will present their ideas and 4 talented performers will show off their diverse talents despite the hardship the country is facing and say that ideas cannot be silenced and their voice will reach the world to aspire for a better world far from he divisive issues of politics and religions.

Mariam Al-Dhubhani

Journalist+freelancer filmmaker.
Journalist and freelancer filmmaker. Currently she is preparing a Master in Museum and Exhibitions Applications at University College London. Her work is focused on Yemen, where she attempts to change the world's limited view of Yemen and Yemenis confined to what they see on the news tape of death, hunger and cholera in an attempt to restore equality in dealing with dignity with the Yemenis and remove the barrier of isolation around Yemen. Al-Dhabhani recently directed three short documentaries, including a 360-degree film, in preparation for feature-length documentaries. Her films have been screened at several international festivals in Germany, America, Mexico and other countries and have won multiple awards.
