This is the first TEDx Event organised by St. John's Universal School, Mumbai, India. We have invited students of Grade X, XI and XII from other high schools including our students as audience. Total number is restricted to 100. We will start the event at 11 am and wind up by 12:00 noon followed by lunch served for all the participants.

Dr. A.P. JAYARAMAN

Nuclear Scientist
Dr.A.P.Jayaraman Ph.D, PGDMM is presently Dean Academic, Sadanam Institute of Commerce and Management, Palakkad, Kerala. He teaches Supply Chain, Logistics and Technology Management for PGDM students in the residential B-School. He coaches and mentors management students and engages them in appropriate local resource-based research in Supply chain management besides conducting seminars and workshops for the diffusion of Scientific thinking skills.

Dr. SAM TARAPOREVALA

Director, Xavier's Resource Centre for Visually Challenged
Dr. Sam Taraporevala, Associate Professor & Head Department of Sociology and Anthropology and Director, XRCVC has been teaching over 30 years. He has been actively involved in advocacy and awareness work in the field of social inclusion using applied research to address key access challenges for persons with blindness and low vision. He has been at the forefront of work resulting in the amendment of the Copyright Act, India in 2012, deployment of over 30000 accessible ATMs in India and opening up of science education for blind and low vision students.

SAMAY AJMERA

Music Therapist
Samay Ajmera, a trained Music Therapist, has studied, researched and worked at the Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute in Pondicherry. A certified musician from the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance in London, he is passionate about music and it impacts as an integrated health service. Having witnessed the psycho-physiological benefits of Music Therapy on patients in varied health departments such as cardiology, dermatology, pediatrics, palliative care, psychiatry, in the pre and postoperative departments and also in the Music Therapy OPD, he continues to work in Mumbai, primarily in the field of mental health and developmental disabilities. Samay believes that allied health service like music therapy can uplift, transform, and positively affect the mind, body, soul and strive to improve the quality of life of every individual.
