In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Janelle Sasaki

Janelle Sasaki leads the Gender Brand, Marketing and Communications and Women Athletes Business Network, Japan Area Leader. for EY Japan. Women Athletes Business Network, Japan Area Leader. Her role is to drive EY’s global and local initiatives for women entrepreneurs and athletes in Japan and growth markets. She served as a consultant at EY Japan’s People Advisory Services with expertise in diversity and inclusion (D&I), global talent management, and work style innovation. She also provided innovative branding and human resources solutions to multinational organizations for more than 15 years Janelle graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, and holds a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification. In her spare time, she volunteers as a career coach for the next generation of leaders. She also maintains her passion for health and fitness, which was nurtured by her former training as a competitive gymnast.

Ted Takagi

Ted held senior leadership roles, including Senior Managing Director of Fidelity Investments and Chief Marketing Officer of Vodafone Japan, Global Director of Commercial Strategy of Vodafone Group, and Executive Vice President of Japan Telecom. Mr. Katagi's specialties include corporate strategy, marketing, turnaround management, and restructuring with special emphasis in the telecom sector. He currently serves as CEO of Kenja he currently serves as CEO. Kenja Corporation. He earned his MBA at Harvard Business School and obtained his bachelor's degree at UC Berkeley.
