Honglang Li

Physicist
LI Honglang Researcher at the Institute of Acoustics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, doctoral tutor, Ph.D. graduated from the Institute of Acoustics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. His theoretical research includes: simulation analysis of micro-acoustic chips (surface acoustic wave sensors, filters, two-dimensional radio frequency piezoelectric phononic crystals), structural optimization, etc. His applied research includes: physical/ chemical/ biological physical quantities and their applications in the wireless passive field, surface acoustic wave frequency control devices and their applications in communication systems. In the past five years, he has presided over 11 research projects, including 9 national/provincial and ministerial level, participated in the writing of Springer monograph, more than 100 academic papers, and applied for more than 60 patents.

Hongxiang Huang

Founder of China Going Out + Social Activist
Founder of China Going Out. Since 2011, Mr. Huang has worked with international media and NGOs. Their research examined China's overseas investment and social conflicts in Africa and Latin America. In his research, He discessed the emerging challenges of China's overseas investment: Environmental damages, labor disputes, community conflicts and illegal trade in ivory and rhinoceros horns. Oscar finalist "Ivory Game" by Leonardo DiCaprio is revised from his experience as an investigator of the global ivory trade; Touched by his courage to fight for animals, Dr. Jane Goodall called him "my hero."

Jiaying Chen

Philosophy Professor
Prof. Chen Jiaying was born in 1952, in 1977 he was admitted to the undergraduate program of the Dept. of Western Language and Literature at PKU, majoring in German. The next year he became a graduate student of the Institute of Foreign Philosophy at the same university, where he earned a master’s degree. After graduation, he taught at PKU as a lecturer for two years, then furthered his studies at the Penn State University and received a Ph.D. in philosophy. He returned to China in 1993. He first taught at PKU as Associate Professor, then ECNU as Full Professor and Head of the Department of Philosophy. He joined the Capital Normal University in 2008 and is currently Distinguished Professor. Professor Chen is widely recognized as an expert in Heidegger’s philosophy. His research areas also include analytic philosophy (especially in Wittgenstein’s Philosophy), philosophy and science, ethics and moral philosophy, and contemporary philosophy in the Chinese language in China.

Jichen Zhang

Award-winning Astronomer
Jichen Zhang, the Honorary President of Beijing Youth Astronomical Union, graduated from the United World College Changshu, major in Physics at the College of Creative Studies, UCSB, and is an alumnus of Beijing 101 Middle School. In high school, he was a member of the Chinese National Team of International Science Olympiads in different disciplines and won a number of awards. He was selected into the National High School Students Talent Program and engaged in research at the Center for Astrophysics at Tsinghua University. At the same time, he paid close attention to social issues and offered suggestions for the Beijing’s legislation with the support of the school, as well as won the Beijing Award for Scientific Advice twice. He writes op-ed articles for the Intellectual, was a reviewer of the Science For teenagers for the Mr. Science. He is an astronomer in the Starry Committee of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation, working in dark sky protection.

Kerang Kou

Caligrapher + Scholar + Columnist
Born on September 16, 1968, Kerang graduated from PKU with a Ph.D. degree in Classical Philology and he is now a nationwide renowned calligrapher, scholar, and columnist. He has published the best-selling book "Calligraphy without Secrets", calligraphy collection "My Cursive Twenty Years", "Aspects of Objects" and “To Be Content with One's Lot". Kerang's calligraphy style is first learned from Yan Zhenqing's writing and then changed to the Wei monument style in the late 1980s. He is famous for his Northern Wei Yuan's epitaph style calligraphy. After more than 20 years of drilling, he is particularly skilled at writing Cursive and Zhen style Calligraphy. In 1993, he began to write the cursive script. He was introduced from the Tang Dynasty’s Sun Guoting’s book, and he had been studying for the cursive script for more than eight years. In 2001, he Began to learn Wang Xizhi's "Daguantaiqinglou Post". In the past two years, he also studied Wang Xianzhi and Zhang Xu's cursive writing.

Liang Xu

Yipaipian CEO + Film Creator
Yipaipian CEO, Master degree holder of the Beijing Film Academy. Published China's first systematic and introductory book on video advertising-- Shi Pin Hong Li, his original film script was selected for the high-end workshop of New York University, Beijing Film Festival, etc. He Has rich experience in film and television creation and has Shot many TV Series, micro-movies, Tencent short plays, TV commercials, etc. The companies he has served include both the world top 500 companies and SME brands. He uses a visual aid to develop and spread the core value of his client companies. He was Formerly a senior trainer at the New Oriental Education Group. He has conducted training sessions for new teachers and developed standardized course systems. He is a senior visiting scholar at the American Educational Testing Center (ETS) and has published many GRE testing preparational books.

Mo Chen

Artist + Teacher
Teacher of the art department of Beijing No. 101 High School. Former Member of the Winter Palace Painter Village, the earliest free artist village in China and a true artistic Utopia. She lived a pure life there and her material needs were minimized. Accompanied by lakes, woods and the ruins of the Winter Palace, she expressed her bold enthusiasm on the canvas on the cold concrete floor.

Songqiao Yao

Conservation Activist + Expeditionist
Since the Copenhagen Climate Change Conference, she has began to actively organize and participate in Chinese Youth UN Climate Change Conference. She has worked for environmental protection and education agencies for many years, helped the international environmental organization----International River to set up a Chinese office, and won the National Geographic Explorer Award by her field survey of Nujiang River. She graduated from the Mount Holyoke College with a bachelor's degree and a master's degree from the Institute of Geography of the University of Cambridge, and a master's degree in business administration from Oxford University. After her first crowdfunding trip to Antarctica, she was invited to join the Polo Adventures and participated in the annual global female scientist Antarctic expedition. She also participated in the creation of a healthy food brand in Beijing, served as a consultant in Africa, and participated in a number of agricultural and environmental projects.

Yubo Zou

Architect + Landscape Designer
The founder and chief designer of A Pu Bei Si. He holds a master’s degree in landscape architecture from Tsinghua University, has won numerous awards in landscape and architectural design. He constructed the first sustainable rain garden design concept and system in China, created a large number of elegant rain gardens that meet the sponge index and combine functions, technology, and art. He created a unique design system based on landscape, water, hydrology, soil, geology, geography, environmental engineering, plants, art, and other interdisciplinary and multi-disciplinary cooperation - eco-design technology alliance.

Fashion Designer
