We, at VVCE, are all set to host our first ever edition of TEDx. It often takes an idea, some time to concretise in our mind. But at TEDxVVCE we shall seek how such ideas can be transformed into breathtaking realities, as we explore our event theme - From Ideas to Action. TEDxVVCE gives you an opportunity to be a part of stories and ideas that have the potential of bringing quantum leaps in our world and leverage them to create a better future.

Anjali B Gupta

Mother of 2/ Business Owner/ Krateka/ Kickboxer/ MMA Fighter/ Powerlifter Anjali lives to break stereotypes. Brought up in Mysore, her earliest memories are of riding horses with the Mysore Mounted Police. She excelled in volleyball, kho-kho & throwball, and won Silver in Kabaddi at the State Dasara Sports in 1996. With a passion for life and a never give up attitude in everything she does, she moved to the US and worked while going to college in the evenings and weekends, by herself, in New York City. There she continued with her passion of dancing and gave various performances under her teachers. She also took up Ariel Silks and Stationary Trapeze and performed there as well. With the birth of her children and with the tugs of being a full time mom, she threw herself into learning the Tabla, and Ukulele, mixing songs on Garageband, resulting in a few re-imagined Shlokas on YouTube. She moved back to India in 2013, determined to help her family business reach new heights. Once back, she found herself single with her children, overweight, and depressed, while having to deal with the stresses of Indian life that she hadn't been a part of for over a decade. Not being one for "gymming", a friend suggested MMA. In September 2014, she stepped into her first MMA class, and the rest, as they say, is History.

Dr. Ashok Rao

Dr. Ashok Rao holds a BE, ME & Ph.D. all in Electrical & Electronics from Mysore University, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay respectively. He has over 30 years of Teaching & Research Experience which Includes 6 years in IIT Bombay,4 years in NITK Surathkal and many more. He is a Gold Medalist from IISc. He has been awarded Texas Instruments (TI) International DSP Design & Education Award for promoting Excellence in Under Graduate DSP education. He has received Citation from Philips Company for regularly crafting excellent UG students in E & C, in area of Signal processing & Digital Communication. He is among the very few across the world to be invited to make a presentation in PAN- IIT-2006 global meet. He is one of the very few to have taught courses & done research in multidisciplinary areas and Institutions like IIT, IISc, NIT, and IIM in India. He was a senior advisor for Research, Govt.of Kerala (Dept of Technical Education).

M.M Nikhilesh

Nikhilesh is a Post Graduate in Management specialized in Human Resource and Marketing Management from JSS Centre for Management Studies. A very passionate human being with an intention to give back to the society and to make this world a better place to live in, he along with his brother Vignesh M M started Kalisu Foundation in the year 2013, an organization providing high quality education to children studying in Government Schools coming from low-income background enabling them to maximize their potential and transforming their lives. Today Kalisu is completely focusing on bringing back the habit of reading and want to make 1 crore children read by 2022.

Satish Manchikanti

Satish Manchikanti is the Co-Founder of U&I, one of India’s largest and fastest growing youth movements, and the Co-Founder of Change+, an innovative training solutions firm. Driven by his passion for social change and his entrepreneurial mind, he has been successful in leading an organisation that has engaged over 10,000 volunteers to provide quality education to children from less privileged backgrounds across 20 cities in India.

Sudhir Vombatkere

Sudhir Vombatkere is a soldier, engineer, cross-discipline thinker, writer, fitness freak, optimist and a firm believer in the Constitution of India. He is recipient of Visistha Seva Medal from the President of India in 1994, for distinguished military service. He retired from the Indian Army in 1996 in the rank of Major General, and has since beenengaged in voluntary public service. He holds a PhD in Civil Structural Engineering from I.I.T., Madras.

Vivek Atray

Vivek Atray is an Author, Motivational Speaker, Mentor and Independent Advisor. He retired voluntarily from the IAS in 2017. He is an ex under 19 cricketer. He speaks on Emotional Intelligence, Leadership, People Skills and Behavioural Issues. He has over 1 million views on YouTube.
