Theme: Multi-dimensional Thinking

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

He is the principle of Dalian American International School and got a Ph.D. in education from Lehigh University. He has been in education for 23 years.

CC Liong

Vice President and Manager, Intel Dalian

CC Liong is Vice President in Non-Volatile Memory Solutions Group (NSG), and the General Manager for Dalian Memory Technology and Manufacturing (DMTM) in China. He leads an organization of more than 3,700 employees and is responsible for the overall performance of 3D NAND technology development and production. Prior to coming back to Dalian, Liong was the General Manager for Intel Arizona Fab and Sort Manufacturing in the US from 2012 to 2017. Before that, Liong was the Deputy General Manager of Intel Dalian leading the start-up and ramp activities of Fab 68, Intel’s first green field wafer manufacturing site in China. Liong began his career at Intel Penang Malaysia in 1988 as a Process and Equipment Engineer in Assembly & Test Manufacturing. During his 30 years tenure with Intel, he has held a variety of technical and leadership positions in nine factories at seven Intel sites spanning four countries (Malaysia, Philippines, China, and US).

Educator

He is the founder and teaching principal of UJECT International Foreign Languages School, which was founded in 2011 to prepare Chinese students to be the elites with cross-cultural resourcefulness and social responsibility. He is the co-founder of Charity Educational Alliance, which provides non-profitable educational services and facilities to update the teaching conditions and improve the literacy of impoverished regions. He is the Vice President of The Youth Branch of Dalian Wildlife Preservation Association, which is intended to inspire children’s philanthropy for nature.

He is an International Educator who teaches Science and has taught in many different countries ranging from The UK, Russia to Qatar, Thailand, and Manila.
