Theme: Castaway

This event occurred on
December 4, 2020
Alexandria, Al Iskandarīyah
Egypt

By definition, a castaway is someone who has been stranded in an isolated place.
We in TEDxYouth@Alexandria have elevated this definition and decided to take it a step further.

So you may ask again, what does castaway mean to us?
A castaway is someone who takes a second to pause and think. To re-evaluate which ideas they truly believe in, and which they don’t.
So, take a second. Imagine being on an island. You’re a castaway. What would you do? What would you build? What foundations would you lay, and what would you abandon completely? What would your motives be and what would you consider right or wrong?

What would YOU believe in?
We often sail through our lives for so long, that we forget to take this second to think of what we truly believe - to revise our actions and make sure they align with our minds. It’s time for this ship we're on to crash, and finally give us a new start.
We would like to invite you to our main event, where we will all be castaways. Where we will be exposed to all kinds of ideas from a new light, and create our own island of thoughts that will flourish and grow with no limits.
