Theme: Bittersweet New Age

This event occurred on
September 7, 2019
Shanghai, Shanghai
China

Although AI and aumomation could probably kill almost 100 million jobs in China by 2030, they will make our life much more convenient by saving us from doing boring repetitive work. In addition, 5G will dramatically increase the speed at which data is transferred across the network, make it easier for people to download and upload Ultra HD and 3D video, and make room for the thousands of internet-connected devices entering our everyday world such as driverless cars, though 5G is definitely making our pace of life quicker and offering us overwhelming amount of information. Big data technology increases the possibility of our privacy being released and thus having more harassing phone calls, but we could cut our costs, increse our efficiency, improving our pricing, compete with big bisinesses and do so much more by taking advantage of it. In face of this bittersweet new age, we know for sure it will totally change of daily life. But what should and shouldn't we do?
