He is now officially the first double leg amputee from India to achieve this feat. When the going gets tough, the tough get going. Blade runner and double leg amputee mountaineer Chitrasen Sahu truly lives up to that motto.

Jabarra, a village of Dhamtari district, in the state of Chhattisgarh is reckoned for its forest abundance and herbal inventory, Jabarra villagers have a vast understanding of medicinal plants and their usage. The village community is an amalgam of various tribal communities including Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTG). Madhav Singh is a representative of this community. The community as a whole has taken up full responsibility to showcase the organic riches of the village, which is becoming home to an international arena via eco-tourism. The indigenous primitive tribal groups vulnerable to the impact of climate change and exploitation, are endeavouring to make the world a little better.

Manish Gupta is a non-resident Indian film-maker. He works to promote and popularise Hindi-Urdu poetry among younger generations and to spread awareness about its aesthetic appeal. He has launched the YouTube channels Hindi Kavita (Hindi Poetry) and Urdu Studio which together, have garnered over a million views with no marketing or promotion. During the course of these endeavours, he has interacted with several publishers and members of the student community and has filmed documentaries featuring several accomplished actors.

The soil of Sarguja (Chhattisgarh, India) is rich, loamy and varied. Deep black, ochre and white their colour and texture lend itself to possibilities of being moulded by hands. The Rajwars traditionally landowning farmer communities, have long held a special affinity with this clay, beyond the needs of occupation or even ritual. After their homes were built by men, Rajwar women plastered the walls of their homes with clay (lepai) embellishing them afresh every year after rains. After this form received recognition through the works of Sona Bai Rajwar and others, it was seen to have market potential, mostly as a craft form that could embellish wall surfaces. Large-scale commission for murals mostly in an urban environment became its chief marketability. In this, its mode of production underwent several changes. Pandit Ram Rajwar, in many ways, been the face in recent times of this shift in production, introducing changes in material, process and content to adapt emerging markets.

He has been working on malnutrition and other challenges in the region.
