In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Jonathon McKay

Jonathon McKay is a partner at PATH, which helps clients use customer and employee insights to solve problems, identify opportunities and grow and innovate the business. Jonathon’s passion is the belief that the way people experience organizations is the most valuable component of success and those organizations who share that belief will achieve long-term sustainable growth. For 10 years, Jonathon has helped organizations create high-performance growth strategies through customer, employee and market insights. Using robust, data-driven methodology, Jonathon helps companies remove the doubt in their decision-making process to grow boldly and decisively by focusing on their most important outcomes – customer loyalty, employee engagement and financial profitability. In addition to research, Jonathon has administered over 100 training sessions across the country on employee engagement, customer loyalty, change management and how to use metrics to drive growth, among other topics. Jonathon has achieved Net Promoter Score Associate status, is a Certified Innovative Leadership Coach and has a BS in Economics from John Carroll University.

Kishore Patel

Kishore Patel is the founder and president of CyberSWIFT, an information technology company that focuses on the power of location intelligence and GIS to help solve complex problems in a way that is most effective for the people that are impacted by it. With an MBA and over twenty two years of industry experience, he strongly believes that location is everybody’s business and can improve lives in novel ways. He loves to be involved with the local community in central Ohio to give back and helps community members move forward by currently serving as president of local non-profit named AIABG. He loves to spend most of his available time with family, friends and golf.

Tanner Asadorian

Tanner Asadorian is a Junior at The Ohio State University studying Operations and Aviation Management through the Fisher College of Business. He has served as an administrative intern for New York’s Islip Macarthur Airport, and as a Strategic Sourcing intern with JetBlue Airways, a Fortune 500 airline based in New York. He is the President of Ohio State’s Aviation Management Organization, working to help interested students build connections with industry professionals. This summer, he will be interning with Southwest Airlines in their Airport Affairs division.

Terry Esper

Dr. Terry L. Esper is Associate Professor of Logistics at the Fisher College of Business of The Ohio State University. In addition to his full-time academic activities, Esper also serves as Co-Chair of the Academic Strategies Committee for the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, and is an Educational Advisor to the Health and Personal Care Logistics Conference. He has published several articles on issues associated with retail logistics and supply chain management strategy in leading academic and managerial outlets, including Journal of Business Logistics, Journal of Operations Management and Journal of Retailing. In addition, he is a regular speaker at global conferences, where he builds on his research insights and accumulated experiences to engage in dialogue regarding trends and issues in logistics and supply chain management practice, and is a regular featured guest on a Sirius XM Radio show. Prior to his Doctoral studies in Marketing and Logistics at the University of Arkansas, Esper worked for Hallmark Cards as a Transportation Manager and was involved in transportation infrastructure research for the U.S. Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration.

Vivian Song

Vivian Song was born and raised in Nanning, China. She is currently a third-year undergraduate student studying Logistics Management at Fisher College of Business. Her work through the Industry Immersion Program – Consumer Packaged Goods has allowed her to understand the Supply Chain and Manufacturing processes within CPG industry, while her work as an online beauty business owner has allowed her to understand the impacts of supply and demand. Most of her work at Ohio State centers around the Fisher College of Business, with participation in Fisher Impact Day, the Fisher Peer Mentor Program, and the Fisher Alumni Undergraduate Mentor Program. She is also involved as the treasurer of the Pan-Asian Mental Awareness Association at Ohio State and she has been an Orientation Leader for the Office of International Affairs. Professionally, she desires to pursue a career in retail, beauty and fashion, and manufacturing industries.
