In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Andrés Barragán

Industrial Engineer, writer and M.B.A. from the Universidad de los Andes, is co-founder of .Puntoaparte editores, and is the current director of this company. Throughout his career, he was a teacher at the Universidad de los Andes and at the Jorge Tadeo Lozano university. He also made management studies at Georgetown University.

Luis Enrique García

Founder and C.E.O. of Off Bound Adventures, Luis Enrique studied law at the Universidad Javeriana, he has specialized in Politics and Economics at the University of Notre Dame, and made a master’s degree in Educational Policy in Harvard. He is also founder and president of Volunteers Colombia; and founder and part of the board of directors of “Enseña por Colombia”. Moreover, he is part of the executive commitee of the “Fundación Empresarios por la Educación”.

Yolanda Reyes

She was born in 1959 in Bucaramanga, and is currently a teacher and a writer. She studied Educational Sciences with an specialization in Literature at the Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá. She completed post graduate studies in Spanish Language and Literature at Madrid. Moreover, she has written several novels throughout her career, and worked in collections of children’s literature.

Jorge Reynolds

He was born in 1936 in Bogotá, and is the inventor of the first artificial, external pacemaker with internal electrodes. He graduated as an Electronic Engineer in Cambridge, England, being the first Colombian to study this career. He is currently working on a tiny pacemaker that does not need any batteries, but loads itself with the heart pulses.

David Zuluaga

He was born in 1989, and is recognized by his work as founder of “Congreso Joven”, a model of the Colombian Congress that brings together young people from all over the country each year. He studies Philosophy at Harvard University. He is currently completing his studies and has been a columnist for the magazine “PODER”.
