In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Yioula Blesiou

A series of unexpected events in Yioula's life, made it clear that the only expected thing to happen is the unexpected and the way you go through it. By 2005 she had made her way to playing with children by getting a BSc in Early Childhood Studies and an MSc in Special Education for chidren with social, emotional and behavior difficulties. She also had several pictures and routes filling her personal mosaic and she had formed an experiential expertise in resilience, meaning the way people can turn any obstacle into a chance for further personal development, for something new that just appeared in their path of life. In her life, 2010 was the year of change as along with her sister, her partner, her brother and a group of amazing professionals, they created Paixnidagogeio (www.paixnidagogeio.gr). They made a place where play is the beginning, where all emotions fit. That is how a red house became the beginning for all of them to play and to share their “resiliencies” every hour of the day until today! They created a school for little ones and grownups who want to keep growing through what they are going through!
