Theme: Get Connected!

This event occurred on
November 19, 2011
4:00pm - 9:30pm EST
(UTC -5hrs)
Hampton, VA, Virginia
United States

We worked through school districts to identify students grades 8-12, who are smart and curious, but who are not currently pursuing STEM related study. We immerse them in a scientific and technologically rich environment, tapping on the door of their creativity to make connections between what they enjoy and how that relates to STEM careers. We will feature a diverse field of presenters on topics such as inventing, imagination, biofuel, chemistry, and filmmaking. All talks will range from 3-10 minutes. New this year, students have participated on the core team, provided the event artwork, will emcee, present and participate on stage throughout the event. We are going to be inspired, have fun and learn a lot in the process.
