In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Eddy Betty

Fashion Designer
This fashion designer has been in the industry for 23 years and has made a name for himself in the fashion scene. Eddy Betty is one of Indonesia's few haute couture designers that has captured the attention of an international audience, presenting works of art that highlights the beauty of women's body through his trademark bustier and being a trendsetter through his innovative designs that show techniques of haute couture. Prior to having his own brand, he worked under several top European designers that have established his diligent work ethic. Despite being a designer of his caliber, Eddy Betty is a warm person that welcomes anybody to come to his studio.

Harison Chandra

Professional Barista
Owner of Ottoman’s Coffee Brewers, Harison Chandra is a professional barista with multiple championships under his belt including, but not limited to, winner of the 2017 Indonesian Brewers Cup and 7th overall in the World Brewers Cup of the same year. Despite the impressive titles, however, Chandra still enjoys working in his coffee shop and getting to know all his customers.

Ivan Chen

Game Developer
Game developer, Ivan Chen, seeks to revive the old art of storytelling with a more modern approach, through Anantarupa Studios, a company that he founded in 2011. With his deep interests and research in the vast world of mythology and fabled history of Nusantara, he aims to create colourful and immersive game concepts, such as Lokapala, where such materials can be delivered and told in a appealing and exciting way. The studio itself provides a multitude of services, where companies can use the game or new technology, such as AR and VR, as marketing tools, proving that games to be a functional promotional device.

Kerri Na Basaria

Women's Rights Activist
After studying History at the University of Sydney and the University of St. Andrews, Kerri Na Basaria now resides in Jakarta and works as a marketing executive. However, on top of this, Kerri is an activist for women’s rights. She has organized marches, including Women’s March Jakarta, and assisted in organizing other events to fight against gender inequality in Indonesia. She believes that these rallies are an opportunity for her and others alike, to speak out against injustice against women, especially for those who do not have the opportunity to.

Pauline Boedianto

Architect
An architect with a passion for her country, Pauline Boedianto has spent the past few years working on a number of building projects that aim to provide proper housing for Indonesian citizens who live in less favourable areas. Having graduated from the Netherlands from the Delft University of Technology, Boedianto became part of Taskforce Liveable Cities in 2012 and to this day works with the effort in order to create liveable cities for people all over Indonesia. While most architects tend to flock to the prestige and pomp the career has to offer, few look at it as a tool for sustainable development as she has done in recent years.

Veronica Colondam

Social Entrepreneur
Having inspired many individuals to help the other around the world, Veronica Colondam is a hardworking woman who has dedicated her life to positively impact the youths of today through the establishment of Yayasan Cinta Anak Bangsa (YCAB). Other than being the founder and CEO of YCAB, she is also an author on books concerning the youth, recipient of the United Nation award and a loving mother of three children.

Wishnu Dewanta

Musician
Apart from being the next musician that will bring Indonesia's orchestra back to life, Wishnu Dewanta has many accomplishments dating back to a very young age. Being the director of the Bellevoix Orchestra, Assistant conductor of the Bandung Philharmonic and the head of Yayasan Silanada he has gain many renowned titles over the years. In spite of his busy schedule, he finds the time to travel around the world while still creating music for all to enjoy.
