In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Founder of Via Partnership, LLP, a leading consulting group in the United States that facilitates public art projects. Working with public agencies, developers, cultural organizations and community groups, Via plans, curates and produces public art throughout the United States and Canada.

Rebecca Clark

Rebecca Clark is the Founder, Creator and Author of "Witty Kids: When Imagination Talks To You." Witty Kids is a children's book series that encourages creativity and literacy to children and families. Partnering with organizations, schools and businesses, helps to integrate diverse literacy into education.

Sophia E. Hayes, PhD

Sophia E. Hayes is a professor of chemistry at Washington University in St. Louis. Her group is focused on improving the basic understanding of the structure and properties of different types of inorganic systems, including semiconductors and other optically and electronically active materials. Her research interests include optically-pumped NMR and optically-detected NMR; quadrupolar NMR of clusters and thin films; and carbon capture, utilization and sequestration. Hayes has spoken about the importance of harnessing technical innovation to mitigate climate change.

Susan Maginn

Tonina is a singer/songwriter, bassist, music journalist and poet from St. Louis, Missouri who performs her original music along with her arrangements of covers in both Spanish and English. Tonina comes from a family of music lovers that exposed her to many music styles, from funk, soul, and jazz to classical music.
