Adeena Jamil

Student
Adeena is an ambitious 18-year-old Pakistani girl who loves to read and paint. Despite being advised to pursue medicine for as long as she can remember, she has always detested biology - until this year, when she came across the concept of psychopathy and it impacted her beyond words. What grabbed her attention was the treatment of psychopaths. Psychopaths have brains different from regular human beings, yet they're judged no differently from a mentally stable criminal. And now here she is, speaking about bringing justice to them in her TEDx talk.

Armin Kavehian

Student
Mental health is a topic that is very widespread nowadays. Armin Kavehian is here to offer another perspective on it. He is a 17-year-old boy who is passionate about mental health and strength. He believes that it is something that everyone juggles in their day-to-day lives and that it is quite important for one to know how to live with it and not let it control you. His objective is to not only inspire you but also help you stay motivated and hold your head high in the toughest of times.

Bola Ajike

Student
Bola Ajike is a high-spirited Nigerian girl that never backs off from speaking her mind. Having gone through a personal experience of falling prey to lies in the media, nothing can stop her from what she's about to share. She's here to tell you that technology and beauty companies can work hand in hand to show the true beauty everyone needs to see. Often described as a firecracker, she knows how to add a touch of charisma to every talk she gives.

Moosa Khoory

Head of Sharia Department at Dubai Islamic Bank
Moosa is best described as a “connector”. One who has connected almost 30 people’s life purposes to their careers. One who has connected between life principles and work. One who has connected between different professions to give them a significant multiplier effect. One who will connect students’ life purposes, passions and values to their future careers, in his talk. Moosa is a big enthusiast of coaching people to help people discover their life purposes, then motivate them to achieve the same.

Salma Yasser

Student
Salma Yasser is a passionate 14-year-old girl from Egypt. She enjoys kickboxing and running in her free time. Apart from her hobbies, Salma’s interest lies in nutrition and mental health for teenagers, and the factors that may affect them. Sameer Gul

Student
Sameer Gul is a 17-year-old in his final year of high-school. He considers himself to be a humour enthusiast. He enjoys public speaking and has had memorable experiences with it. He enjoys debating and conversing about ideas, whether they mainstream or controversial. His aim with this TEDx talk is to try to change the minds of people on how they view certain things, because according to him, the fate of humour in our society depends on it.

Suhaila Basim

Student
As we are rapidly growing and advancing, we are unknowingly leaving a part of us behind. Suhaila takes us on an emotional journey where she stands up for justice and people’s rights and wants us all to support those who have been neglected. She shares with us her thoughts and feelings on equality and believes that, together, we can make a difference.

Syed Hamza

Student
Syed Hamza is your run-of-the-mill 15-year-old teenage boy. Like most his age, he struggles with his studies and spends much of his time doing things he finds entertaining, like playing games, swimming, listening to music, watching TV shows - you name it. What he does not enjoy is listening to the constant pessimistic outline of the world he hears from others, drawn up from the media. He’s here to show you how humanity has been living in the past and why, despite how the media portrays it, the present is probably better than you think it is.

Zain Hashmi

Student
Zain Hashmi is a 15-year-old boy from Pakistan, in his 10th year of high school. He is a proficient student in school as well as an active sports enthusiast, and knows his balance between academics and his social life. Physics is something that sparks his interest, and his curiosity often leads him to research about many ideas - some that may be considered out of the ordinary. The field of astronomy interests Zain and he wants to become an aerospace engineer in the future, but the possibilities are endless. His interest in the field of astronomy has led him to ponder a lot about space, specifically the Sun - and here he is giving a talk about a topic that he found very thought-provoking.
