In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Digital Gandhi

Popularly known as "Gareebo Ka Steve Jobs" or "Digital Gandhi" started his first company, I Impact India Partners at the age of 21, creating a niche for himself as the youngest Consultant in the Cause Branding & Marketing Industry Internationally. After 3 years he founded a presentation solutions firm called Presentation Ink. He is on the board advisors for various non-profits in India and is the Consulting Director of the UK Based Innovation Firm -Chakraviyuh. He received Pride of India Award 2015 for developing a process called Impact Thinking to help out non-profits around the world. He is well renowned for introducing 5 year Old Philosophy through his book 5 year old Billionaire. He is spearheading India's Social Entrepreneurship Movement amongst the youth called 'Gandhi with a laptop' through his workshops across the nation.

Mohammad Shams Aalam

Mohammad Shams Aalam Shaikh, a para-athlete refused to be struck down by paraplegia and is now participating in the Asian Para Games in Indonesia from October 6 to 13. About eight years ago, he was diagnosed with a condition of a benign tumor in his lower back. After unsuccessful surgeries, Shams was left paraplegic; now tragically bound to a wheelchair with no sensation in his feet. He even proudly holds the record of the longest open sea swim by a paraplegic person. He won a bronze medal at the 2016 Speedo Can-Am Para-swimming Championships in Canada and has participated in international events in Germany as well.

Noyonita Lodh

Noyonita Lodh is an Indian model and beauty pageant winner who was crowned Miss India Universe for the year 2014. She also represented India at Miss Universe 2014 in Doral, Florida (United States) on 25 January 2015 and was placed in top 15.

Shaheen Mistri

Shaheen Mistri is an Indian social activist and educator. She is the founder of Akanksha Foundation, an Indian non-profit educational initiative in Mumbai and Pune, and is also the CEO of Teach For India since 2008. Shaheen founded Teach For India, with an audacious vision of providing an excellent education to all children across India through building a pipeline of leaders committed to ending educational inequity in India. The teach for India fellowship enlists India's most promising college graduates and young professionals to spend two years teaching in low-income schools and attempt to bridge the educational gap in the country. Her story would be really inspirational for the IIML community.
