A Hotel Management graduate from Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Hyderabad, Payal worked at the Front desk at the then Krishna Oberoi before she lost her sight and hearing ability to a cerebral attack in 1992. Six years of denial, partial recovery of her hearing and subsequent active rehabilitation put her back on her feet. Employed by the organization that rehabilitated her, Caring Aid for the Visually Impaired, the next six years were spent in giving back to the community of blind and visually impaired as a resource person, mentor and teacher. Working as a Relationship Manager and servicing clients for both unit and regional sales has been a challenging but fulfilling journey. She is currently involved in creating awareness and sensitizing corporates and institutions about disability and inclusion, through motivational talks and workshops.
I am Prachi Panda, a rising senior at FIITJEE, Saifabad. Contrary to popular beliefs, I do have a life beyond Fiitjee, and invest my time in co-running The Vistaar Foundation, a foundation aimed to help the urban-underprivileged students and The Astronomy Club Hyderabad, where I get to meet like-minded people and fantasize about space. You can often find me engaging in "pointless" debates, reading novels, messing around with my guitar, and binge watching shows. Literature and Philosophy fascinate me but I do have a profound interest in astrophysics and aspire to be instrumental in the development of this field, and in turn the world.
I’m Seerat Bagga, a senior at the International School of Hyderabad, where I study Psychology, Biology, and English at a higher level in the IB. While my passion is psychology, I could never love anything more than I love bubble tea. My younger brother might come close, though. I also have an undying curiosity for most things under the sun, so no interest is too random. However, my long-standing fascination has been the way our surroundings impact us as people, whether that be in the way we behave, think, or learn.
My talk will discuss the social cognitive theory in personal relationships, and the many ways it changes us as people. The intriguing part? It occurs mostly through observation.
I can’t wait to talk to you about how we, as teenagers and young adults, can create change in those around us simply through starting it ourselves.

Co-founder of Better by Design
I am the co-founder of Better by Design. Through my organisation, I envision what people need to equip themselves with in a rapidly changing world and designs to enable it. Understanding innovation - the skills mindsets and beliefs required to embrace it form the core of what I do. Apart from Better by Design, I love exploring philosophy, furniture and space design and various forms of storytelling from film making to poetry.
I'm Yash Kothari, currently a student in the IBDP at CHIREC International School, having played basketball at the national and international levels. While basketball plays a major role in shaping my personality as well as my life, I am also passionate about research in the field of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence and have hence taken up research fellowships at IIIT Hyderabad and IIT Chennai. These fellowships range from the application of neural networks in cancer diagnosis to the application of the same technology in educational trend prediction. These experiences have given me quite a diverse perspective in terms of learning and I am looking forward to share this fundamental derived learning with all of you at TEDxYouth@CHIREC 2019.
