In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Gregory Grabowski

Professor
Dr. Gregory Grabowski is a professor at the University teaching courses in Physiology, Pathophysiology and General Biology. Dr. Grabowski earned his Ph.D. at the Medical University of South Carolina studying physiology, following with postdoctoral training at the Harvard School of Public Health, where he uncovered new relationships between pulmonary inflammation and air-quality in industrial settings. Dr. Grabowski's approach towards understanding physiology is uniquely supplemented with his work in marine biology, earning his Master's from the University of Charleston using sting rays as a model system for the pathogenesis of cystic fibrosis.
