In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Jeannette Guillemin

Jen is the director of Arts Leadership & Innovation at the Boston University College of Fine Arts, an entrepreneur, and an arts advocate and serial collaborator. She develops interdisciplinary and social impact initiatives, oversees an arts leadership program and teaches courses on cultural entrepreneurship, the creative economy and leadership. Her professional collaborations have led her to teach in prisons and homeless shelters, to create community engaged projects in Boston and to publish research on cultural entrepreneurship and the creative economy.

Mackenzie Bullard

Mackenzie Bullard is a MPH candidate at the Boston University School of Public Health studying Health Law & Policy and Human Rights. He is passionate about bringing change to the start up culture by emphasizing the inexplicable link between innovation, human rights, and health. He is the Founder of Snacks & Short Stories, and believes that reading with others can cultivate meaningful human connection and make the world a healthier place.

Nikki Innocent

Nikki Innocent is a trailblazing entrepreneur, women's leadership and diversity & inclusion coach, and podcast host. With a belief that we can create true connection through understanding that despite our differences, we are all, as humans, more alike than we are different, Nikki launched a podcast, Checkbox Other, that celebrates stories of “otherness” and the power of shared humanity. She works to empower more diverse and inclusive voices in business and beyond to strengthen company culture and inspire more authentic leadership.

Rob Kornblum

Rob Kornblum is an entrepreneur, former venture capitalist, best-selling author, and business coach with over 25 years of experience working with entrepreneurs on company growth. He specializes in coaching, speaking, consulting, and running workshops. He currently works with companies out of the company he founded, StartLaunchGrow. He believes strongly in building company culture and strengthening teamwork for success.

Stacy Chin

Stacy Chin, Ph.D. is currently the start-up co-founder and CEO of HydroGlyde Coatings. She has been recognized as the Entrepreneur of the Year Award from the Worcester Chamber of Commerce in 2018 and the Female Founder Fellowship from The Capital Network. During her time at Boston University, Dr. Chin was awarded the Fieldman Award and the Laursen Research Fellowship for her scientific research achievements. Dr. Chin also holds an HBX credential from the Harvard University Business School.

Travis Roy

Travis Roy is a philanthropist and former Boston University hockey player. 11 seconds into his first collegiate hockey game his life changed forever. After an accident that caused him to slam into the boards, he was paralyzed from the neck down. He founded the Travis Roy Foundation to raise money towards research for spinal cord injuries. Today, he is a published author, activist, and the only BU hockey player to have the honor of a retired number, #24.

Wendy Swart Grossman

Wendy is an educator and social impact consultant with a background in presidential politics. Through building partnerships, innovation, strategic planning, fundraising and workshop facilitation, Wendy is a connecter, thought partner, logistical wizard and visionary. She has held positions at Harvard’s Museum of Science and Culture and the Graduate School of Design as well as The Science Museum in London, UK, the Social Innovation Forum, The Charlotte Foundation and BU’s BUild Lab. A Cultural Entrepreneur herself, she is the author of Behind the Wheel: A Mother’s Journal of a Year on the Road.
