In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Damayanti Mukherjee, the Principal, Modern High School for Girls in Kolkata,is a trained Masters in English Literature. She has been associated with K to 12 education for more than quarter of a century. Ms. Mukherjee has been associated with the two national curricula offered by CBSE and CISCE and two of the popular international curricula offered by Cambridge( IGCSE) and International Baccalaureate ( all three levels). Her domain of expertise has been curricula development and pedagogical leadership. She has served in the Review Committee of Studies in Language & Literature:Language A English curriculum of IBDP, has been associated with Andhra Pradesh Government’s Welfare Scheme and Scholarship Programme for Tribal Children. His professional interest is in improving the efficiency of industrial operations, with experience in the domains of transportation, logistics, renewable energy, and supply chain.

Prithviraj Dasgupta

Prithviraj Dasgupta is an entrepreneur and chairman of Ortiva Realty, a company focused on developing residential real estate in Delhi, India. Prior to cofounding his company, he has worked with GE Capital for over a decade in India, USA and Canada and has held positions of increasing responsibility in operations, project management, globalization and was appointed business leader/managing director of GE Capital's vehicle and equipment leasing business in Canada. He has worked with Philips Lighting in sales in India and has worked with EXL in New York. Mr. Dasgupta holds a post graduate diploma in business management from IMI Delhi and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Delhi, where he was college topper in Economics (Honours) in his final year. In college he was an avid debater and represented Delhi University at the XIV World Universities' Championship Debate in Melbourne.

Ltd (currently known as Transafe) as MD, launched eTrans Solutions Pvt Ltd, a company creating tracking network for freight vehicles. The Company has been a pioneer in the field of vehicle tracking since 2001, and is the only Company in India which is equipped to provide GPS/GSM as well as IOT based vehicle tracking system. It has blue chip companies like Tata Steel, Linde India, Jindal Steel, AirLiquide, CESC, Spensers, etc as its dedicated customer. Mr. Acharya is formerly a member of the Working Group of the Planning Commission of India, to consider issues relating to logistics in the 11th Plan. He was the past President of TiE Kolkata Chapter.
