In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Benny FInisher

Benny Finisher is a Performance Poet. A prolific wordsmith whose wordplay intrigues, incites and woos his audience. He produced a paid listening show to test his performance ability the moment he discovered the art of poetry. (The test continues). He founded Free Friday Revue; an open mic event for a faith-based organisation that ran for 6 years birthing Poets, Rappers, Singers and Stand-up comedians. The creator and owner of, "Benny Finisher's FEELIN'STATION"; an online episodic performance poetry show, teaches the Art of Performance and Artist-Audience Intercourse. He has been a judge and Facilitator at Nigeria's foremost poetry slam; "War of Words" for 4 seasons. Mr Finisher combines other forms of art in his performances with relatable contents.

Bryan Reuben

For over a decade Dr. Brian Reuben has been committed to creating, refining, and executing ideas in leadership and strategy that has shaped organizational culture and productivity in large and small organizations. He inspires high productivity from inner cities to palaces, challenging people to challenge assumptions, question what stops them and unleash their full potentials. Dr Brian is widely acknowledged as an authority on the subject of Strategy. He is an Author, Advisor to business leaders, Keynote Speaker and an entrepreneur with a substantial interest in education and publishing. He is a featured speaker at business events in Nigeria and has trained and advised and mentored senior executives at several organizations including Africa Reinsurance Corporation, Department of Petroleum Resources, Globacom, UAC, Dolphin Telecom, United Securities Limited, BusinessDay, Tenaris S.A. among others. Dr Brian has facilitated over 150 executive education, seminars and workshops for senior executives in diverse industries including agriculture, health, education, news media, telecommunications, insurance, etc. He has written over two hundred articles and five books on delivering superior performance. Through his senior executive workshops, he has helped position several businesses to produce remarkable results even in the most challenging and turbulent business environments. He has been interviewed and published on newspapers and television nationally and internationally on issues relating to leadership and strategy. His publications, radio and television programs have affected people globally. Dr Brian is the international director of House of Africa, a non-governmental organization committed to building authentic young leaders in Africa through various programs across the African continent. He is a recipient of awards in leadership. He is also the Director of Brian Reuben Advisory, a Strategy and Leadership Advisory firm based in Lagos, Nigeria. Before this role, he was the Director of BusinessDay Training, a strategic knowledge and human capital management (HCM) business segment (SBU) to facilitate workplace and marketplace education, business and management development programs for upwardly mobile professionals, business managers, and senior executives.

Doel Stunner

Doel Stunner Is a songwriter, singer, musician. His debut album, "Come Home" Is A Gift To The World. He Has Been The Theme Songwriter For TedxIkeja From Inception and he performed The Theme song For TedxIkeja 2019.

Ernest Nkwocha

Ernest Nkwocha is the extraordinary tyre sculptor of Lagos with the rare and uncanny knack for seeing the beauty in the seemingly mundane. He expresses this talent by sculpting intriguing artworks with, of all things, disposed tyres found around the metropolis. Driven by a desire to foster a cleaner and less wasteful Lagos, Nkwocha has taken seven years to hone his tyre-sculpting skills, and this has resulted in some international exposure for the artist. Just recently, in April of 2019, he was featured on one of the world’s largest broadcasting channels, BBC, where the world got a glimpse into his creative process and also got to see some of his best work as well. Nkwocha has participated in many art exhibitions including the Auchi Art Convention (2009); October Rain, Nike Art Gallery (2013 and 2014); and the SNA Centennary, Omenka Gallery (2015). In 2016, he made his first big break by holding his first solo exhibition at the Nike Art Gallery, Lekki. The event which was tagged “Me and My Environment – an Exhibition of Sculptures” ran for 6 days within which art aficionados from all over the city came to take in the sights of his beautiful sculptures. Holding a degree from the Auchi Polytechnic, Edo State, Nigeria, Ernest Nkwocha's dream is to help shape the global discourse on art by traversing the world with his unique works. From an unknown Ajegunle boy to an increasingly famous artist, Ernest Nkwocha uses his unique gift to tell a powerful story of how a little paradigm shift can uncover a treasure trove of wealth hitherto unseen.

Idy Enang

Idorenyen is a proven reform-minded business leader with a passion for development economics. He has demonstrable expertise in Business Management, Organizational Design, Marketing, Sales Operations and a licensed practitioner of Insights Discovery and Liberating Leadership UK. Over the course of his illustrious career spanning over twenty-seven years, Idy, as he is fondly called, has held key positions of increasing responsibility at Executive Management levels across Africa; building and transforming several global brands like Guinness (a subsidiary of Diageo) as a Brand Manager, Coca-Cola as the Country Marketing Manager in Kenya, Chief of Staff to the Equatorial Africa President, then later driving the business in the East & Central Region as General Manager before moving on to turn-around Cadbury from a near-comatose state to profitability as Commercial Director; He had an exceptional stint at Samsung Electronics where he served as Managing Director for Nigeria out of its West Africa Hub in Lagos, and until recently served as the Managing Director for L’Oreal Central West Africa where he managed the two subsidiaries of the beauty giant across West Africa. His exemplary leadership and service in the course of his career put him on a global stage. Idy was elected and he served on the Executive Committee of the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA) as Region Vice President for Africa, alongside other Chief Marketing Officers and Chief Executives of Fortune 500 companies between 2011 and March 2016. He is a Past President of the Advertisers Association of Nigeria, a Past Chairman of the Heads of Advertising Sectorial Group; and a former member of Council at APCON (the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria), which regulates the practice of Advertising in Nigeria. He also sits on the Advisory Boards of Awesome Treasures Foundation (ATF) and Strap & Safe Child Foundation Over the past decade, Idy’s relentless pursuit of improving the public good within the larger society and professional communities of practice has been recognized with Fellowships of UK’s Chartered Institute of Marketing and the National Institute of Marketing Nigeria. Also, In the last few years, he has been adorned with several awards in the course of his service to his career and community. He is currently the CEO of Corporate Shepherds Limited, an organization founded by him to serve as a social enterprise to develop and enhance people and organizational capability. Driven by a performance and productivity mindset. He runs a bundle of initiatives in the media and open seminars for grooming leaders and young people to improve their competencies and career prospects. Corporate Shepherds currently has a wide array of youths and numerous Executives under her mentorship. In most private and public circles, he is often described as a Trustee of Posterity. Idy is a trained Economist and holds an MBA with a specialty in Marketing. He is a much sought-after speaker in business and leadership management conferences and a columnist in leading publications within the continent. He enjoys reading, listening to music and loves travelling.

Lanre Adelanwa

Until very recently, Lanre was the Head of Marketing at SystemSpecs, owners of Remita, one of Nigeria's leading Financial technology giants. He was principally responsible for managing the leading brand - Remita, through multiple transitions and growing brand equity from a N1.2B in 2014 to a N10B annual turnover in 2017 He currently works as Head of Marketing & Communications at Sidmach, a leading technology house offering innovative and cutting edge solutions in Nigeria's Education, Health & Agriculture sectors amongst others. Basamta’s deep passion is for Strategy, Communications and Marketing as critical enablers of every business' continual growth and profitability, which are coincidentally the fundamentals of his practice. He invests his free time towards mentoring the youth and sharing his knowledge in self-discovery and empowerment via training and mentoring. He received his Master’s Degree in Strategic Marketing from the Metropolitan School of Business & Management, UK, and his first degree in Political Science from Ogun State University, now Olabisi Onabanjo University Ago-Iwoye.

Lou Odunuga

Lou Odunuga is the Chief Executive Officer of Betacar.ng, an Automotive e-Commerce Marketplace Platform. Prior to Betacar, Lou Odunuga served in a number of senior management positions for leading companies in Nigeria and the USA, over a 20-plus-year career spanning various roles in Sales, Marketing and Operations Strategy. His diverse business experiences span multiple industries including Management Consulting, Technology Startups, Manufacturing, and Telecoms. He has held several leadership positions since his days in Silicon Valley - Yahoo, Honeywell International, Accenture and Etisalat-9mobile. Mr Odunuga holds an MBA from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Lagos. Lou is passionate about community building and partnering with local NGOs. He also volunteers his time to provide career mentoring to young professionals.

Olusola Adebayo

Olusola Adebayo is a brand management trainee at Orange Academy, Africa’s first practical school of Integrated Brand Experience and Idea Management. In conjunction with his group at Orange Academy, THEGREES, he constructed the idea of equal representation for men and women in the modern world. THEGREES is an amalgamation of the finest minds in Orange Academy including Eyo, Mabel, Jessica, Iyanu, Ruka, Lucky, Dayo, Abiodun, Dayo & Triumph.

Samuel Ajiboye

Ajiboye Samuel is the founder and country manager of Alpha and Jam Nigeria a media technology group with investment in the digital out of home space owning premium assets like The Madison and 20 other digital billboards across Nigeria. With expanded operations in Kenya and South Africa Samuel is driving a revolution in the space through a retail approach that is providing a spotlight to the media space in Africa. With the pioneering launch of Candle, Samuel is building a technology market space making it the Google of the DOOH space. Prior to starting Alpha and Jam, Samuel was the Country Manager of Tribal DDB Lagos with over 12years of in-depth experience in technology and media.

Teju Babyface Oyelakin

Olateju Oyelakin is known professionally as Teju Babyface Oyelakin is a Nigerian Comedian and Talk Show Host. He is the creator of Minding Your Talent, an initiative to help young Africans achieve career success. He is the founder and lead mentor at the Mentorship Foundation Africa. He is a United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Ambassador for Nigeria with a focus on Decent Work & Economic Growth. He runs a company called Visus Projects.

Temiloluwa Adeshina

Temiloluwa Adeshina is a radio presenter, author, serial social entrepreneur and a seasoned British Curriculum Teacher and consultant with more than a decade old experience. She cut her tooth as a teacher while working with other curriculums within the Nigerian system of education. The behavioural patterns of children she understudied over the years laced with her depth of African culture inspire her works of fun, humour and drama. She loves children and believes every child is a star waiting for a moment of history. She believes every child must be a reader. She is the winner of Guarantee Trust Bank’s Simple Change Big Impact Challenge. She reviews educational textbooks and re-writes them for leading publishing firms in Africa like Learn Africa (formerly called Longman). All of these books have been approved and adopted into the Lagos State Curriculum. She lives in a fairy world where stories are written endlessly from diverse diaries of dreams and pages of excitement. She is a prolific writer and author. This is what she is committed to. Her published solution-based books include Lagos State Approved Bantu the Big Fat Bully, an Anti-Bullying Book Series, arguably the first Anti-Bullying Book Series in Africa. Her books strategically revolve around moral activities and community change projects that seek to fix cultural and moral challenges in children. Such activity includes the Award-Winning, Lagos State Approved Anti-Bullying Programs mandated for all schools in the State. Hence the adoption of the book Bantu as the resource material. Her books are strategic operational manual for community change. Other published books include Risi Recycle Series, Happy Jappy Series, Mini Mani Mo, Dark Arises and more. She churns out book day in day out. This is her lifelong passion. Temiloluwa’s style of writing is a creative blend of DavidWalliam’s and Francesca Simons’ humour and wit laced with Enid Blyton’s mild, fairylike enchanting world yet heavily and deeply rooted in her strong African heritage and culture. She is the Chief Reading Coach and co-founder of Readland Leadership Center for Children powered by Vast Vision Global. She also doubles as the head of Purposeful Educational Networks (PENS), a subunit of Vast Vision Global, a helping welcome organization mandated to revive Africa. This group has placed 160 fewer privilege children on scholarship.

Usmah Imanah

Usman Imanah is an Experienced Corporate Communications Professional with special interest in Brand Management, Media & Public Relations, Marketing Communication, New Media & Investor Stakeholder Relations. He is a prolific writer, amazing orator and an inspiring lover of God. He is currently Corporate Communications Manager, at Stanbic IBTC Holdings, a role he holds alongside running his own business, Friska Farms Limited, makers of an amazing moringa tea brand promoting healthy living. Usman is a volunteer faculty at The Fate Foundation where he teaches Branding and Marketing Communication for SMEs. Usman is a strong supporter of charitable and developmental causes - prominent amongst them is the setting up of a fully functional computer lab in a community school in Edo state. He currently runs Renawa.Org, an online crowdfunding platform that helps like-minded people raise funds for social and charitable causes. Usman is a hiker and adventure lover. One is greatest feats is reaching the Uhuru peak of Mount Killimanjaro.
