Theme: THE DEAD CHILD

When conceiving TEDxBachDang, we have always wanted the people of Da Nang to have a chance to listen and be inspired by “the pros”, to be trained to have an open mind, and to view an issue from various angles. By doing so, together we take step by step towards becoming a global citizen, which is especially important in Da Nang’s contemporary context where most young people are still inactive and averse to change.
With “The Dead Child” theme for our April 13th, 2019 event, we accompany you on a long journey in search for the child within, reviving the creativity and combating the prejudices - to push forward in the quest to cultivate not only wisdom but also emotional capabilities. We believe that in the age of Industry 4.0, where everything is constantly changing and materialistic pursuits are being overemphasized, keeping the simplicity and innocence in a child’s soul is necessary. The child’s creativity is invaluable. No matter who you are, being grounded in the fundamental values and keeping yourself plain is important, and that is the goal of TEDxBachDang - together with everyone, we aim to revitalize and embrace the creativity and simplicity within.
