TEDxShenkarCollege is back and opens to the public for the second time. We are proud to feature national and international speakers from the world of design, hi-tech, culinary science and academia. They will each present their own amazing, unique story as part of this year’s theme, “Journey.”

After an exceptional first TEDx event, Shenkar is back curating an even greater event. Find out why Prof. Roei Zerahia has never told his college classes what he does for a living. Why Elyss Sagossin had to become a supermother in order to look out for her son. Whether we should encourage young children to play with their food? And why governments have trouble growing up.

During the daytime, Roei Zerahia is one of the best-loved professors at Shenkar College. But when he leaves campus, he becomes the head of CANNDOC, an international company specializing in pharmaceutical grade cannabis. In his talk, “My Secret Life as a Drug Dealer” he presents his vision of the future of the cannabis industry as a treatment of choice in many medical conditions.

Orit Dolev, an industrial designer, and Shenkar graduate has gained international recognition as the recipient of Red Dot and IDA Gold and was selected as one of the most influential women under thirty by Forbes magazine. In her presentation, “Own Nothing, Have Everything” she argues that possessions such as homes, cars, and clothes are a thing of the past and will be displaced by services.

Tim Kelley is a successful political and corporate consultant. He is coming to Israel to present, “Why Counties Behave like Kids”. Tim Kelley describes the tendency of politicians to answer short term needs and how we might overcome it.

Want to know who else is presenting? Here’s a look at this year’s entire team of speakers: Tali Asher, Tim Kelley, Miriam Green, Steven Max Stern, Dr. Uri Globus, Dr. Yoel Tawil, Elissa Sagoskin, Orit Dolev, Roei Zerahia, Ilanit Appelfeld, Katz Kiely and Laura Vana. More
