In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Iqra Khilji

Iqra is an eminent Urdu poet who writes on issues that arise from the barbarian manifestations of unjust societal norms and consistently questions our ethos through the flair of her recitation. Currently a student of law at Gujarat National Law University, Iqra has already featured in an interview with BBC Urdu and has presented at The Habitat Studio. Her stellar accolades, however, are no match to the beauty of her verses, as she continues to shackle the social inequities with her powerful words. Armed with the power of words and poem, she speaks on how despite the imminent threat, we continue to live in denial about climate change.
