In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Alex Bybee

Alex Bybee leads Teach Plus' policy work in Nevada with a mission of empowering excellent, experienced teachers to take leadership over key policy and practice issues that affect their students’ success. Alex joined Teach Plus in 2018 from The Public Education Foundation in Clark County, where he served as Senior Director of Development and Community Relations and worked closely with the CEO to lead the Foundation's annual fundraising events, major donor portfolio and strategic community partnerships.

Florence Roger

President and Chief Executive Officer of Nevada Public Radio
Florence “Flo” Rogers is committed to realizing the mission of Nevada Public Radio in partnership with the staff and board of directors. She has worked in non-commercial media for 25 years, from KPBS San Diego to KRPS in Kansas. Joining Nevada Public Radio in 2001 as director of programming, she succeeded founder Lamar Marchese as general manager in 2007. Florence is in her second term as an NPR Member Director through 2017, and is past chair of the Leadership Council of the Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce. A 1989 graduate of San Diego State University, Florence earned a master’s degree in radio, TV and film. Unintended consequences included becoming a published author on pop star Madonna and an alternative rock radio DJ. Her national network production and reporting credits include NPR’s “Morning Edition,” “All Things Considered” and “Studio 360.” She co-created the flagship public affairs program “KNPR’s State of Nevada”.
