Alev Adil

Professor
Dr Alev Adil is an Anglophone Cypriot poet, multimedia performance artist and scholar. She is the Director of the Arkın Center for Art and Design and ARUCAD Lifelong Learning Center. Her poetry has been featured in many anthologies, widely translated and published in a collection, Venus İnfers. Alev’s photographic work, multimedia performances and film-poems have been featured in magazines, used as book covers and been exhibited and performed in galleries including Tate Britain, the British Museum, the Royal Maritime Museum in London and internationally in Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belgium, Cyprus, Finland, France, Greece, Holland, Ireland, Kosovo, Lithuania, Mexico, Romania, Russia, Switzerland and Turkey.

Ali Azhari

Instructor
Ali Azhari is an Iranian filmmaker and cinematographer holding a M.F.A. in screenwriting/cinematography and has been professionally working in Iranian cinema as a director of photography for years. His field of research is focused on interactive and post-cinema. He is currently an instructor at the ARUCAD University of Creative Arts and Design in North Cyprus.

Antony Eddison

Antony Eddison has over two decades of teaching, management & leadership experience in Higher Education in the UK and internationally, he is Advisor and External Examiner at several universities for innovative Post Graduate programmes and as a practitioner, he has worked in Architecture, Design and related Creative Industries. Currently Director of Global Engagement & Partnerships at one of the most innovative universities in the Mediterranean region and Director of Arkin Global situated in the heart of Istanbul.

Erbil Arkın

Founder - Chairman, The Arkin Group of Companies
Erbil Arkın was born in Cyprus but moved to London as a child. When young he developed a talent and a passion for art and was sent to special art classes. At the age of sixteen, he encountered the works of Auguste Rodin and was captivated by them. He later stated, “I wouldn’t have dreamt of owning a Rodin Sculpture…let alone many…but one should always aim to reach for the stars. Maybe you won’t reach the stars; however, you may find when you look back that you have reached the peak of a mountain” Today he is the founder and Chairman of the Arkin Group of Companies.

Hakan Dağ

Professor
Hakan Dağ has been performing both music and graphic design since the early 1990s. He graduated from Trakya University of Fine Arts / Printmaking and from Anadolu University, Department of Philosophy. He worked as a “Multimedia and Graphic Designer” at METU Technopark and established his own design studio in 2007. He has also been the creator and organiser of the Ankara Design Week event since 2007. Nowadays he is the editor of Graphic Design Journal, Founder of Ankara Design Week and BrandSuiteİstanbul Visual Brand Consultant.

Howard Rose

Howard Rose, Co-Founder and CEO of Firsthand Technology, is a pioneer in the field of Virtual Reality for over 20 years. Howard’s virtual reality career began as a graduate student researcher at the Human Interface Technology Lab (HTIL) in Seattle. Howard has secured an international reputation as a thought leader in virtual reality applications for health, therapy, and education. Howard is a frequent invited speaker at international events, where he shares his vision of how VR can tap into our untapped potential to make us happier, smarter and healthier.

Keith Brown

Professor
Keith Brown studied at Sunderland College of Art (1966-71) where he was awarded a 1st Class (Hons) Dip. AD. and as a postgraduate student at Manchester Polytechnic (1971-2) and went on to study at the Royal College of Art, London, (1972-75) where he received his MA in sculpture. He is one of the foremost digital sculptors working in Europe and has made regular representations at an international level as a contributor to, and organiser of, symposia and exhibitions in electronic and digital art.

Korhan Akbaytogan

Korhan Akbaytogan completed his BA at Marmara University, Fine Arts Faculty, Graphic Design Dept. and in 2006, his MFA with thesis at Yeditepe University, Fine Arts Faculty, Dept. of Plastic Arts. He has worked for Solutions Branding & Design Companies as a Senior Art Director and Illustrator. He became an expert on Packaging Design and Branding designing for brands such as Coca-Cola, Ülker, Unilever, Pınar, Eczacıbaşı, Algida, Nivea, Sanofi and others. He currently works at ARUCAD University as VCDD Deputy Head and senior instructor whilst pursuing his PhD.

Mustafa Yücel

Professor
Mustafa Yücel obtained his PhD in Oceanography from the University of Delaware, since when he has conducted post-doctoral research at UPMC-CNRS Benthic Ecogeochemistry Laboratory, France, been a Visiting Scientist at the National Oceanography Centre, UK followed by a period as a Postdoctoral researcher at GEOMAR│Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research, Germany. He has been an Assistant Professor at the Middle Eastern Technical University, Turkey. His research interests are the biogeochemistry of anoxic marine environments and deep-sea chemosynthetic ecosystems and the dynamics of sulfur-iron transformations across marine redox gradients.

Torin Lucas

Instructor
Torin Lucas is an interactive multimedia developer, designer, and educator with a passion for culture, history and the experience of being a digital human. With his start working in the 360 virtual tour sector during the dot com era, Torin went on to work in the Canadian video game industry which led him to opportunities to participate in the digital adaptation of world culture, and archaeology into shareable interactive experiences. This continues to be his passion and is currently working of the digitalisation of historical sites and artefacts in Cyprus.
