Theme: Our kids are starting a new school year: here's two important things to consider

This event occurred on

It's September, which means the start of another School Year. Therefore, we thought it's the perfect time to talk about two critical things to the development of our children: Bullying and Role Models.

School years are challenging. The phrase, "it gets better," is leveraged specifically to address those tough, formative years - and offer hope. It's the apex of when we're exposed to bullying, at a complex time when we're simply trying to learn how to view the world. And at this time, one of the most powerful agents of support are Role Models. People kids believe in, because those Role Models believe in them, too.

Join us for a TED-Talk double header (followed by group conversations) about: 1) a talk that illustrates the roots of bullying, and how to fight against it; and, 2) a talk about how kids need to learn from people that they like and that believe in them.
