Frank Venmans

Frank Venmans is a lecturer in environmental economics at the University of Mons. He is also Visiting Fellow at the Grantham Institute on Climate Change and the Environment at the London School of Economics for 5 years. His research focuses on the analysis of emission trajectories optimizing well-being, the discount rate for evaluating projects in the future and the effect of climate policy on European industry. Since 2018, he is chairman of the Committee of Experts on Climate, whose latest report estimates that the ambition of the Walloon government's climate policies for 2030 is insufficient to stay below 2 ° C. Frank Venmans has published in prestigious journals such as the Journal of Environmental Economics and Management and is also a reviewer for the IPCC
