In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Arizza Nocum

Arizza Nocum is the Overall Head of KRIS Library, an organization that seeks to use education to counter terrorism, promote peace, and reduce poverty among young people. Her leadership of the organization has led her to receive numerous awards such as the Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines-NCR, the Gawad Tsanselor Para Sa Natatanging Mag-aaral, and the global Young Women for Public Affairs Award from Zonta International. She has also been nominated to the 100 Most Influential Filipina Women in the World. She is presently one of 10 young leaders worldwide hand-picked by the Kofi Annan Foundation to counter violent extremism. She is also an ambassador for One Young World - the eminent summit for young leaders from 196 countries. She recently graduated with a degree in BS Industrial Engineering from the University of the Philippines - Diliman.

Paolo Joaquin

Paolo Joaquin is a Commercial Director at Go Motion Productions that champions 21st century design to create and produce video content that goes beyond engaging the audience. He is also a founder of One Redesign Manila, a project that strives to reimagine Manila as a cleaner and more liveable city. Their projects aim to create a change in the way Manila’s citizens view their home and to spark a collective action in making their city better and brighter.

Paolo Medina

Paolo Victor Medina is a graduate of the INTARMED program of the UP College of Medicine. He is currently an Assistant Professor for Community Medicine at the UP College of Medicine. He worked as a Municipal Health Officer in Quezon. He is a founder of the Alliance for Improving Health Outcomes (AIHO) Inc. that is geared towards making the Philippine Public Health System towards socio-economic growth. He has been known for his dedication to serving the underserved as he inspires generations worth of doctors in the making and other healthcare providers.

Rafael Dionisio

Rafael Dionisio is currently an entrepreneur and president of AVD Green Building Materials (52 year old business) in Manila Cebu and Davao. He is a co-founder of Make A Difference Travel - social tourism and community based environmental travel group working in Luzon and Visayas. He is a co-founder of The Circle Hostel. He is also a co-founder of The Plastic Solution - an enterprise building an inclusive plastic free economy. He is also involved as an environmental management and tourism development consultant of the province of Zambales. He is also a co-founder of Seed Nation, a seed saving movement for farmers. Raf works with tribes and reforestation, anti-single use plastic programs and sustainable travel and dreams of a world in balance, where poverty of people and planet are vanquished through the efforts of individual citizens of the world.

Sharwin Tee

Sharwin Tee is a chef, television host, newspaper columnist and author. He is known to be the host of “Let’s Do Lunch” and was previously the host of “Curiosity Got the Chef”. He is also part of the web shows “Bet You Didn’t Know” and “Not Safe for the Hungry”. He authored “Curiosity Got the Chef the Cookbook” as well as “So, You want to be Chef?” You can also read his work in the newspaper column “The Baconman Cometh”. Aside from being known locally, he has garnered numerous accolades from working with top companies and restaurants to starting putting up his own restaurants all over the world. This speaker will surely leave you full with knowledge from his food and cultural adventures!

Winlove Mojica

Dr. Winlove P. Mojica is a Clinical Associate Professor at the Section of Dermatology Philippine General Hospital. He is one of the few dermatologists in the Philippines with a subspecialty training on sexually-transmitted infections. His Facebook Blog "Skin Sensei" has been listed by MIMS Philippines as one of the top health blogs to follow in 2017. His Twitter account with the same name has over 17,000 followers. Aside from skin health, human rights, sexuality, sexually-transmitted-infections, and HIV are top issues in his social media accounts.
