XIME, Kochi is happy to announce the launch of 2nd Edition of the TEDx event at our campus. 'TEDxXIMEKochi' is an independently organized TED event that aims at bringing great value of inspiration through thought-provoking conversations.

Our goal is to bring together bright minds, to give talks that are idea-focused and subject-driven to foster learning.

TEDxXIMEKochi is scheduled for 10th November,2018 at Xavier Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship (XIME), Kochi on the theme ‘Success through Synergy’. We believe the voices would be a valuable addition to the stage and we hope that you will join us in our mission to inspire others and ignite ourselves with ideas worth sharing.

The event features speakers and professionals from varied portfolios including Entrepreneurship, Politics, Arts, Journalism, Public Administration, Disaster management and Start-up Success. The talks would be filmed and hosted on the TEDx YouTube channel.

Ms.Dhanya Varma is an eminent personality in Kerala. She started her career. She started her career with an internship at Star Plus after completing her studies, and later became an assistant producer on the hit TV show Kaun Banega Crorepati hosted by Amitabh Bachchan. Dhanya Varma is a talk show host currently hosting the Malayalam talk show The Happiness Project, on Kappa TV.

People say he molds women entrepreneurs, however, this humble personality considers himself to be a beneficiary of women entrepreneurship. Mr. C K Kumaravel is an Indian Entrepreneur and the CEO of Naturals Group of salons based in Chennai. Naturals is a prominent beauty salon chain in India with over 550 outlets spread across the country. He has faced tough times while setting up his venture of Naturals Salon & Spa. However, he took inspiration from his favorite author Robert Schuller’s book, ‘Tough Times Never Last, but Tough People Do’ and rebuilt his life. A graduate in Natural sciences from PSG College of Arts and Sciences, it is his intuitive abilities that have been a driving force in his journey so far. Mr. Kumaravel is, beyond any doubt, an inspiration for all budding entrepreneurs.

Change Maker- IIM turned Politician

A graduate from IIM, Mr. Singai G Ramachandran took a bold decision of contributing to the nation by joining politics and not being an conventional job seeker. He is currently the State Secretary of IT wing of the current ruling party AIADMK.

Mr. Ritesh Andre is a young and charming person belonging to the Mumbai Dabbawala community. At 23, he represents the Dabbawala by being their spokesperson at various events.

Rohini Swaminathan

Currently working as an International Consultant at World Food Programme, Ms. Rohini Swaminathan is a Geomatician who specializes in Capacity Development, International Development and Health, Disaster Management, Geographic Information System and Remote Sensing. The Geomatician has previous experience as a Center Lead for the NASA DEVELOP National Program in Wise, Virginia. At Purdue University, she also worked as a Graduate Administrative Assistant and German Instructor. She was also associated with UNITAR as a technical expert for the UNITAR’s Operational Satellite Applications Programme.
