This year, TEDxFoggyBottom invites you to be a part of TEDxFoggyBottomSalon on Monday, November 5th. TEDxFoggyBottomSalon is an interactive conference where speakers will center their talks on the theme of “Civilize Business”. Through this event we will be exploring civility in the business world as well as what it means to act professionally while exercising morality. Speakers will touch on important, business-centric topics that will give fresh insight to those in attendance.

Darieth Chisolm

Emmy Award Winning TV Host, Author, Speaker, Coach, Activist, and Filmaker

Darieth is a former NBC News Anchor, TEDx Speaker, and life and business coach. Darieth is also a revenge porn and cyber sexual harassment victim turned activist. Having recently been featured on the Megyn Kelly TODAY Show and other notable media outlets and publications, Darieth has become a leading voice on the issues of cyber harassment and revenge porn. As the creator and director of 50 Shades of Silence, Darieth aims to advocate for stricter laws and tougher enforcement for cyber sexual crimes; encourage the accountability and responsiveness among online companies; promote social responsibility; and restore dignity and respect to victims and survivors. As a visibility and multi-media coach, Darieth works with corporate professionals, coaches, authors, speakers to develop strategies that build brand, influence and income. She uses her life coaching skills to help victims and survivors of assault and abuse release the shame, live with confidence and find their everyday courage.

Dedra Faine

Author, Professor, and Entrepreneur

Dedra Faine, CEO and Spokesperson for Celebrations from the Soul is a wife, mother, entrepreneur, teacher, author and vlogger. She teaches event management and civility courses at George Washington University and George Mason University. She is the producer and host of the web series, GracingUp that shares stories of real women that have created a life for themselves that infuse their souls with joy, peace and love. The stories will range from personal well being (mentally, physically and spiritually), sharing ways on how they stay at their best, creating welcoming homes with love, and using their gifts and talents to serve within their businesses and communities. Her passions inspired her first book, Celebrations from the Soul and her latest book A Breath of Grace. She is the cofounder of W+winGS Foundation a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that serves women and children in need within her community. Dedra resides in Virginia and cherishes the time spent with her family.
