This event occurred on
November 29, 2018
Warsaw, Mazowieckie
Poland

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Kasia Oberda

I am a TV presenter, a PR consultant,, a teacher, a translator, a tutor and an education advisor. I love art, music and sport. For many years I was working for TV and radio. 12 years ago I set up my own school where languages were taught together with music, art, dance and sport. It was one of the first places in Warsaw where textbooks were not used and traditional, conventional teaching methods were avoided either. I have organised a lot of language and sport events. Although now I work mainly in PR and my favourite part of it is communication, I have not given up education. Using my experience and skills I help young people build their education paths, I do encourage them to think of education as a process of exploring the world and meeting people, as a kind of self development that, based on their values, will define who they really are and what they really want to do. I do believe in personalised education. I have just started doing a post diploma course in History of Art.
