In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Ben Adamson

Caelan Reeves

Student, Debater, Actor
Caelan Reeves is a Junior at Jones. Outside of school she loves performing and using her voice through theater, debate and poetry.

Camelia Patron

Student, Improv Comic
Camelia is a performer at the Second City and leader of Jones College Prep comedy club. Camelia is a Junior and has a wide range of interests, from comedy to political science to research. However, she spends most of her time in the comedy community whether she is at her ensemble at the Second City or bringing comedians to perform at Jones.

Isabel Sices

Student, Zero-waste Activist, entrepreneur, co-founder of greenteen
Isabel is a junior at Jones, who is interested in the intersection between entrepreneurship and sustainability. She founded a company, greenteen, focusing on just that. She loves learning about how to have a positive impact on people, animals, and the planet as best she can.

Zimra Chickering

Student, Artist, Activist
Zimra Chickering is currently a Junior at Jones College Prep who is engaged with art museums citywide, and is an intern on the Art Institute of Chicago's Teen Council. She can absolutely "nerd out" about art, art history, and surprisingly enough, anything related to cooking. She views herself as a small part in the greater movement of teenagers working towards social reform, and this TEDx Talk is her way of spreading this message.
