In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

CeCe Olisa

Lifestyle Blogger
CeCe Olisa is a Lifestyle Blogger and Co-Founder of the CURVYcon, a convention celebrating body positivity and plus size fashion during New York Fashion Week. CeCe’s blog and YouTube channel are dedicated to discussing fashion, fitness, dating, and life from a plus-size and body positive perspective. CeCe creates wildly popular plus-size workout videos on her YouTube channel, encouraging women to work out because they love their bodies, not because they hate their bodies. An expert in body positivity, CeCe recently partnered with SHAPE Magazine for the 2018 SHAPE women’s half-marathon, as an honoree among 13 notable female leaders. She is described as a “person who proves you can be fit at any size” by MTV.com, CeCe lives by her motto, “Don’t wait on your weight to live the life you want."

George Veater

Financial Consultant
George Veater was raised on a cattle ranch in Coarsegold, California. As the oldest boy of 5 children, George learned the value and necessity of hard work from a young age. After playing football and wrestling in high school, George found his real passion in the sport of rodeo. He was a District Champion Saddle Bronc Rider in High School, and then was offered a full scholarship to compete in collegiate rodeo. During his college years, George was recruited by a financial marketing company where quickly found success. George later decided to focus his attention on building a more traditional financial planning business as a Financial Consultant. He and his family continue to run cattle on his family ranch and plan to carry on that tradition for at least a few more generations.

Kelsey Low

Business Coach
A native of Visalia, CA, Kelsey Low is a business coach at The Growth Coach of Central California. She graduated from Point Loma University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Communications. Kelsey produces local community events that highlight experts in the San Joaquin Valley. She manages Visalia Talks & Wine, an event that creates empowering, educational discussions. The mission and goal of these events is to expand the community, their ideas, and most importantly to empower people to live with fulfillment. Kelsey is an advocate for self-love and empowerment through entrepreneurship and she speaks about this often on her podcast, Joyfully You. She has made a career out of motivating and empowering individuals, especially with her exposure to different cultures.

Kizzy Lopez

Assistant Professor
Dr. Kizzy Lopez’s passion is fueled by her personal experiences as a former foster youth and experiences with homelessness while attending community college. Currently, she works as an Assistant Professor in the Social Work Degree Completion Program at Fresno Pacific University. She serves as the research faculty member for the department primarily teaching Introduction to Social Science Research and Thesis courses. Her research focuses on the experiences of underrepresented communities, particularly those who have experienced foster care or homelessness.

Tony Hoffman

Former Pro BMXer
Tony Hoffman is the Founder and Director of The Freewheel Project, a non-profit organization that mentors thousands of youth through action sports: BMX, skateboarding and after-school programs. After paroling prison on December 13, 2008, he started living out his dream, with his addiction behind him. Tony is a Former BMX Elite Pro and placed 2nd at the 2016 World Championships in Medellin Colombia in the Masters Pro class. Tony has dedicated his life to bringing awareness around the country by describing the dangers of prescription pills and heroin, as well as advocating a shift in thinking towards current addiction-recovery processes.
