In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Bailey Bryan

Singer/songwriter Bailey Bryan fell in love with storytelling and songwriting at an early age, penning every track off her impactful debut EP. With critics including Rolling Stone and Entertainment Weekly touting her as an "Artist You Need To Know", this Billboard "Chartbreaker" already turned heads with her "rich songwriting" (The New York Times) and infectious sound. The Washington State native played for live audiences across the country on dates with Kane Brown and Dan + Shay as well as major festivals including CMA Fest, Stagecoach, LakeShake, Faster Horses, and Watershed.

Charlane Oliver

Charlane Oliver is the Founder and Board President of The Equity Alliance, a non-profit organization focused on empowering people of color to use their voting power as a weapon in the fight for social justice. A public relations strategist by trade, Charlane currently serves as a congressional aide for U.S. Congressman Jim Cooper. Her organization's accomplishments have been featured in The Tennessean, Tennessee Tribune, ThinkProgress, and Pew Charitable Trust's Stateline. She has been recognized as one of Nashville's 100 Leading African Americans and is a Nashville Black 40 Under 40 award recipient. A native of Little Rock, Arkansas, Charlane earned her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.

Christina Spinei

Composer Cristina Spinei writes music which pulses with the rhythmic energy of the American minimalist tradition. As a frequent collaborator with choreographers, Spinei's music is inspired by movement. Here she performs two compositions, Relics and Mechanical Angels, from her EP Mechanical Angels.

Christy Pruitt-Haynes

With expertise in strategy, diversity, corporate culture, entrepreneurship and adulting, Christy Pruitt-Haynes combines her education in HR Development with over 20 years of corporate, civic and entrepreneurial leadership, to create a unique approach to helping her clients define and exceed their ambitious goals. This wine enthusiast and want-to-be Broadway actress (with loads of passion and imaginative talent) is a devoted wife, mom, aunt, daughter, sister, friend and party thrower from Nashville, TN.

Debria Tyler

Debria Tyler (aka Debria Love) is a student at Middle Tennessee State University and a three-time Southern Word slam team poet.

Emma White

Garnering 3 million streams independently, Rolling Stone named Emma White as one of their "New Country Artists You Need to Know." Buzzfeed named her a "2018 Country Music Obsession" and her songs have been featured on Spotify's Nashville Stripped, Wild Country & New Boots playlists, as well as Apple Music's A-List Country. She's a self-released, self-managed artist, recently launching her independent label, Whitehouse Records. Before moving to Nashville, Emma attended Berklee College of Music.

Erin Wolf

Erin Wolf is a nationally-recognized speaker, executive coach and consultant in the areas of leadership development, diversity, and organizational strategy. She worked for well-known firms such as Bain & Company, Goldman Sachs, and Accenture. Recently in her career, she was the Chief Strategy Officer for two +$1 billion companies. Erin is currently the Managing Partner of SuiteTrack, LLC where she helps companies advance their female professionals in the workplace through executive coaching, workshops and speaking engagements. Erin also founded and runs the Women's Leadership Center at Kennesaw State University's Coles College of Business. A former nationally ranked tennis player and scholarship athlete, Erin received her BA Magna Cum Laude in Economics and Spanish from Duke University and her MBA from Harvard University.

Kimberly Papillion

Kimberly Papillion is a nationally recognized expert on the subject of decision-making in medicine, business, education, and law. She served as a member of the faculty at the National Judicial College. She lectured to physicians nationwide and corporations including Google, Walmart and Clorox. She presented to judges throughout the United States as well as in New Zealand, Australia, Canada, and Trinidad. She lectured to the US Securities and Exchange Commission, the US Department of Justice, and the US Department of Education. Kimberly attended the University of California at Berkeley and Columbia University School of Law.

Megan Barry

As the former Mayor of Nashville, Tennessee, Megan Barry is an activist against opioid abuse. Barry earned her B.S. in Elementary Education from Baker University and her MBA from Vanderbilt University in 1993.

Samar Ali

Samar Ali is an entrepreneur with Lodestone Advisory Group and a lawyer with Bass Berry and Sims. She works locally, regionally, nationally and globally to strengthen democratic institutions, and to de-stigmatize the Muslim identity in America today. She is a Young Global Leader with the World Economic Forum.

Shelley Zalis

Shelley Zalis is a thought leader for advancing equality in the workplace. The first female chief executive in the research industry's top 25, she devotes herself to mentoring women. As CEO of The Female Quotient, she is co-founder of #SeeHer, a movement led by the Association of National Advertisers (ANA) to increase the percentage of accurate portrayals of women and girls in advertising and media. She is also on the board of directors for MAKERS.
