Theme: Time: finding more for what matters, and the benefits of putting your phone down

This event occurred on

For our last Library-based Community Salon before Summer Break, we're thinking about: Time. The summer holidays are upon us, and we're about to either have lots more free time, or we'll be looking for ways to find more free time to enjoy the summer.

So how can we do this? Are there time-management tools that can help us? Are some of our own choices actually sabotaging our goals? On the other side of the coin, can we over-fill our lives? Are there distinct advantages to just being bored on a nice summer day?

Join us for a TED-Talk double header (followed by group conversations): 1) a talk to help us understand how we use time, and how to manage it better; 2) a talk that both pin-points one of the biggest threats to our time, and also suggests we're missing out if we don't sometimes have moments with nothing to do at all!
