In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Adhishri Hande

Adhishri Hande is a Sophomore in the Latin Lyceum program at Lowell High School in Lowell, Massachusetts. She comes as a first generation American to speak about her experiences of learning various styles and cultural dances throughout her life. She currently teaches dance at the Sullivan Middle School in Lowell and is also involved in the Political Debate Club at her school.

Daisy Var

Daisy Niseyvichaka Var is a 2016 graduate of Lowell High School. Since then, she has gone off to graduate the University of Massachusetts Lowell in the Spring of 2019 with a degree in Criminal Justice, with a concentration in Crime and Mental Health along with an Asian Studies minor. Her future plans consist of traveling and one day working for the FBI.

Ezequiel Nunez

Ezequiel Nunez is a senior, a Student-Athlete and a Master Sergeant at the AFJROTC (MA-771) program at Lowell High School. Mr. Nunez is an advocate and an activist, who co-organized two gun buybacks in the city of Lowell, has published an Op-Ed on the Lowell Sun and is a published author (We Are America). Ezequiel is currently committed to Fitchburg State University as a Biology (Pre-Med) Major. He hopes to work for the Trevor Project and other nonprofits that work with LGBTQ+ youth around the country.

Jaeda Turner

Jaeda Turner is a Sophomore at Lowell High School in Lowell MA, and a participant in Lowell High School’s Latin Lyceum. She is involved in many clubs, including Black Unity, Tenacity, Step, Peer Mediation, and is a part of the LHS Crew team.

Jasmine Seng

Jasmine Seng is a Junior at Lowell High School. Born in Lowell, she spent 2 years of her early life in Florida. Also, she is a part of the Have-a-Hat club and the National Honor Society. She enjoys being with her friends, reading and dreaming. When she graduates high school she plans to attend a technical institute in the hopes of becoming a mechanical engineer to develop the skills required to manufacture products that will ultimately help those in need.

Jenielle Guerrier

Jenielle Guerrier is a senior at Lowell High School. She was previously part of Show Choir. She is a current member of the Mock Trial Program. She plans on studying psychology at New England College in the fall.

Kevin Truong

Kevin Truong is a Junior currently enrolled at Lowell High School in Lowell, Massachusetts with a future ahead of him in art and law. He is going into his fourth year of the Mock Trial Program as a co-captain of the Defense Team, while also trying his best to enhance the art community in Lowell. He is an active member of the Political Debate Club. He plans on going to MassArt for college while majoring in both political science and graphic design.

Nyckole Lazaro

Nyckole Lazaro is a student at Lowell High School, currently in her junior year. She is the president of Bible Club and works as an unpaid teacher for the children at her church. She wants to pursue a career in teaching, either English, Math, or in Special Education, and also travel the world preaching and helping the many children in need.

Philly Marte

Philly Marte is a Senior at Lowell High School. He is part of the LHS Mock Trial team, Political Debate Club, International Language club, Football team, and former part of the LHS track and field team as a shot putter. He will be pursuing a bachelor degree in Political Science this upcoming fall and will hopefully be seen on an upcoming ballot.

Shaveen Gachau

Shaveen Gachau is a junior at Lowell High School in Lowell, MA. She is a Kenyan-American. She is part of the various programs the school has to offer.

Tristen Huynh

Tristen Huynh is a Sophomore at Lowell High School. Writing since elementary school, she has embarked on the biggest journey of her teen life: High School. She challenges herself with different art forms trying to expand her skill set. Taking every experience and opportunity to try and improve herself in order to take on the harshest quest; Life.

Zhane Green

Zhane Green is a Junior Latin Lyceum student of Lowell High School. Ms.Green is apart of the Black Unity club, the Tenacity Program, and Vice President of the National Honor Society. Ms.Green is also an advocate of community outreach.
