In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Hạnh Nguyên Nguyên

Professor Hạnh Nguyên is a lecturer from HCMC University of Architecture, she has experiences for more than 20 years in design thinking, architecture and interior design.

Helly Tống

Activist and Business woman
Helly Tong studied business at Macquarie University in Australia, before founding the conceptual lifestyle chain HEVERLY–a collection of clothing stores, restaurants and coffee shops–at the age of 19. Currently based in Ho Chi Minh City, she actively involves and influences the art and social media community. Helly is the Vietnamese ambassador for Design For Change–one of the most popular educational programs founded by educator/TED speaker Kiran Bir Sethi. The program enables children to become creative, proactive, empathetic and responsible citizens. She has given talks at conferences, educational institutions, and non-profit organizations across Vietnam, focusing on important social themes such as sustainable lifestyle and why we exist, etc. In 2016, Helly founded The Yen Concept where she evangelizes the idea of Green Living Space.

Tom Trandt

Fashion Designer
Tom Trandt is a Vietnamese fashion designer whose work has been exhibited in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City when he was still a junior at Parsons The New School for Design in New York City, competing for the museum’s national competition following its annual show Charles James: Beyond Fashion. In 2016, he moved back to Vietnam to start his own brand, Môi-Điên, which has sinced presented more than 4 collections and featured repeatedly on fashion magazines such as Harper’s Bazaar, Elle and L’officiel. Due to a shortage of fabric suppliers in Vietnam, Tom Trandt and his team develop unique textile treatment techniques to bring a unique aesthetic to his brand which has been challenging gender stereotypes since its earliest stage.
