In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Adam Burgis

An Eagle Scout from Lebanon, PA who’s currently a junior attending Harrisburg University of Science and Technology studying biology. Adam hopes to apply to medical school for graduate education to pursue emergency medicine. In pursuit of a career in emergency medicine, he is currently working at Penn State Hershey Medical Center as an emergency medicine medical scribe. Adam provides us insight on how to change perspective to change outcomes in our everyday life. Changing the way we see problems as the arise, allows us to empathize with others, knitting a closer, more community-like atmosphere.

Amanda Crowell

Amanda Crowell is a cognitive psychologist, university professor at the Hunter College School of Education, speaker and coach. Dr. Crowell works with teachers, therapists, and mission-driven entrepreneurs to clear away mindset blocks and move into action.

Beth Montgomery

Beth has started a concierge project consultancy call "Project Done!" which mixes the roles of a virtual and personal assistant to help customers get things done, professionally. She also volunteers her CPR skills with The Peyton Walker Foundation.

Brent Binder

Brent is the owner of a private chiropractic practice in Central PA and a part-time teacher at Penn State University. After a decade of working with patients and teaching various biology classes, his experience is now being shared as a public speaker and a professional educator.

Joe Curcillo

Joe Curcillo is an internationally acclaimed mentalist entertainer who uses the powers of observation and the skills used selecting thousands of jurors to “read the minds” of his audience as he pushes their imagination. Joe helps company leaders engage their teams to enthusiastically achieve any outcome they desire. After practicing law for more than 30 years and managing his own successful last firm, Joe followed his passion for helping people communicate more effectively, and applies it to deliver speeches, training, and executive coaching to enable people to become empowering leaders.

Justin Douglas

Justin is a pastor at The Bridge Church in Hummelstown and Midtown Harrisburg. He currently lives in Central Pennsylvania but has resided in California, Indiana, Virginia, Boston and Wisconsin which has provided him with a unique experience and knowledge of various communities. He is driven by bridging the gaps that exist in our world by creating spaces of belonging and acceptance.

Louisa Eyler

Louisa Eyler is a clinical transformation consultant at Highmark Health Inc., an outpatient therapist at Pyramid Healthcare, and corporate faculty at Harrisburg University where she teaches creative mind focusing on the theme of creating self-identity through self-analysis. Having 15 years’ experience as a master’s level psychotherapist and licensed social worker, she is an expert in the field of personal transformation.
