Colleen Weiler

Marine mammal scientist
Colleen began work at Whale and Dolphin Conservation as the Jessica Rekos Orca Fellow in 2014, shortly after completing a policy internship at WDC's Plymouth office. She holds a Master of Science in Marine Resource Management from Oregon State University and has been working with marine mammals in a variety of roles - from fieldwork, rescue, and research to policy and conservation - since 2005. Orcas are her favorite dolphin species, and she has a big soft spot for seals and sea lions.
