In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Anonna Guha

Artiste

Dr. Anonna Guha is the Managing Director of Nrityanjali - The Institute of Performing Arts, Education, Personality Development and Management Services, Mumbai. A double doctorate in Sociology and Human Relations, Guha is an extremely multifaceted personality ranging from interests in arts to management. She started learning Kathak at the age of two and a half years and has over 1500 dance shows to her credit. Notably, she was the lead dancer in Hima Devi's 'Reach for the Sun' celebrating 50 years of Indian Independence. Dr. Guha also serves as Dance Curator for the esteemed Kala Ghoda Arts Festival, Mumbai.

Dushyant Bhadlikar

Psychiatrist

A society's psyche and the general outlook towards a kid plays an important role in his/her education. On this note, we have Dr.Dushyant Bhadlikar to speak about changing paradigms of childrens' mental health and the role of the society. Bhadlikar practices as a general psychiatrist and has experience in managing mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and psychological trauma. In 2001, he also volunteered during the aftermath of bhuj earthquake, treating psychological trauma faced by the affectees. Further, he is a certified trainer for EMDR psychotherapy in India and Abroad.

Jaden James is a 9th grade student who'll be the voice for the education system's pivot - the students. Jaden is an avid debater, a math enthusiast and a wannabe traveller. If not playing on the badminton court, you'll find him weaving magic through words!

Jinal Shah

Nutritionist

A graduate of SNDT university, Jinal Shah is an expert in clinical Nutrition and Dietetics. Since her graduation, she has trained under and worked with Rujuta Diwekar as a diet and exercise consultant. One of Jinal's most recent projects was Mumbai Police Welfare Project which provided Mumbai Police unique diet plans formulated around their stressful lifestyle and nutrition needs.

K. P. Singh

Foreign Education Expert

Mr. K. P. Singh is an expert in the field of Foreign Education. He specializes in training students for examinations like GRE, GMAT, SAT and has also authored a book titled “A Complete Guide to GRE”. He has written and published several articles in The Times of India, Hindustan Times and many more. Over the last 22 years, Mr. Singh has mentored over 48000 students and helped them achieve their dreams of studying in the top Universities of the World.

Shyam Sayanekar

Former Head of History Department at Pendharkar College, Mr. Shyam Sayanekar was born with congenital blindness but that didn't stop him from achieving exceptional academic prowess. He is a two-time gold medal winner from University of Mumbai and has been awarded several fellowships throughout his career as a historian. He was an extremely popular professor and has illuminated several young minds in 30 years of his service!

Swati Gadgil

Social Activist

Dr. Swati Gadgil is an anesthesiologist, a poet, a speaker at various national and international medical conferences, a social worker, a consultant for the Times of India school education program, honorary lecturer and much more. She has worked for years now, held various positions in Indian Medical Association, and also established an NGO named Dombivli Women's Welfare Society & Youth Wing 'Naya Savera'.

Vinay Nair

Mathematics Educator

Vinay Nair is the Co-Founder of Raising a Mathematician Foundation (RAM). RAM is a foundation dedicated to harnessing young mathematical talent in the country. They conduct various national-level workshops including their flagship event 'Raising a Mathematician Training Program'. Nair has authored two books namely 'The teacher who taught us to think' and 'Journey to the Himalayas'. A passionate educator, Vinay Nair is involved with several organisations and not-for-profit initiatives to spread the magic of Maths far and wide!
