The dictionary defines an Idea as "A thought or collection of thoughts that generate in the mind. An idea is usually generated with intent, but can also be created unintentionally."
An idea should have IMPACT and should create VALUE to be meaningful and useful. Using ideas to create change and impact is an increasingly important aspect of our life. Seeking, Acquiring and mastering the skills you need to do this is pertinent and critical. You need to be convinced of the idea and communicate the same to others so that your idea can have the intended impact.
To have an impact with your ideas, you must create value for people. General consensus says that you can solve a real problem by solving a problem you or others have. This is solving an existing pain point. Secondly you can help people do something that they want to do. This is called value addition or creating a gain.
The best ideas are ones that are built with other people, and some of the world's most famous innovations were built on the work of others. "If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants." said Isaac Newton in 1676 . How true!
Ideas are built on each other and form a coherent interconnected network. Most ideas even the ones that end up big, start small. Solving world hunger might be a great goal, but one needs to start feeding atleast one hungry person. See what is happening around you, think of ideas you can come up with, that can make impact in your world and start there. Eventually your idea might end up a world changer.
